peeps telling me to skip +1 bow for now and get AF2 body/legs. is this garbage advice. pls help non legacy noob out.

I mean, if you've already got the 900 tomes lying around, you might as well, it'll just make you better at farming the stuff anyways.

That is my casual approach to it anyways, if you're super serious about min/maxing things ASAP then don't listen to me.

Nope. HP wasn't an issue in turn 4, being able to establish enmity as fast as possible was the most important thing so it made the choice obvious. Unless Church is talking complete shit WAR won't be able to MT turn 5 for months so I'm not gonna waste myth gearing for that. I didn't do brav+1 cause it sucks compared to allagan so obv choice was curtana+1 for 2/3 the tokens

Well I don't see myself beating turn 5 in the foreseeable future! I'm being stubborn on leveling PLD as long as I can because it bores the shit out of me or else I'd have done Curtana and AF2 body or something but meh. Trying to make WAR work as long as I can. Once I feel like I'm bringing a group down by not being a PLD I'll probably suck it up and swap, but it has yet to happen. Worst case I can speedrun AK and Prae a little bit faster which I'll almost always be on WAR for. No regrets.

You are bringing the group down, you just don't notice it yourself. Healers carry Warriors, basically. The day I changed was like night and day for the group.

Eh there's a difference between bringing down a group and making the healers have to pay a bit more attention in my eyes. Our groups DPS isn't great so being able to turn off Defiance and pop Berserk for shit like the first Dreadnaught helped a ton for burning it down in time. They all agreed I was bringing far more to turn 4 than the PLD they used last week. I can't deny PLD is outright a better tank but I can't help but feel PLD+WAR is a much better setup for a bunch of situations. That fight is all on the tanks anyway, I don't give a fuck if the healers actually have to put forth some effort, fuckin' crybabies.

BRD bow is only +1 DMG which is why people suggest AF2 for BRD. I was under the impression the hands were the best first choice since they're cheap, best in slot and DL hands are shit. Legs are best in slot too but if you happen to get allagan drop the difference is a lot smaller, whereas allagan hands are also shit. I don't BRD though so I'm probs not remotely helpful. All I know is you want crits n shit.

No... that's actually pretty helpful. I just didn't want to get a piece of AF2 and regret not going ahead and doing the +1. The legs seem to be my biggest upgrade over current stats, but I should double check the hands. If I get hands can't get legs for a bit which kinda sucks. could have enough for legs in a day or two.

well the hands are killer, but not nearly as big of an upgrade as body or legs so I don't know why anyone would get hands first other than they are cheap. dl/tox hands aren't great but seems like it be better to do the smaller upgrades later.

dl hands are crap. I got af2 hands first as well since you are better off using tox over dl, so tox to AF2 is goinna be probably greater than any other dl piece to af2 (aside from legs). I think it's pretty standard most bards go for legs/hands first. If you have enough for legs, I'd say get that since the longest it would take you to get hands is another two weeks.

Def don't bother with the +1bow. Like.. Dragoons (loldrg) relic gives +2 damage (thought originally it was +5, but I'm retarded), but the other stuff along with it was nicer than going with AF2 for me personally. Missed out on lots on the Alla legs on Turn 1 sadly, so I'm saving myth probably for the AF2 helm or the Wyrm Breeches.

But off topic.. the Gae Bolg seems best to upgrade over armor for DRG, but for BRD.. definitely go with AF2 there. Not sure on which piece gives you the bigger start in crease in terms of actual useful stats.. but definitely go with whichever does.

I +1'd my bow, but it was more because i have quint melded griphonskin tunic, I love bard to death, but tonight i went sch to turn 1 and 2 and those fights alone were the funnest healing i think i've ever done in a video game. My FC leader is also a bard by trade, but he went WHM and i can honestly say our problem is the two best bards, are unfortunately, the two best healers.

We litterly kept our parties alive through two back to back missed high voltages, and got ADS down to less than one percent, and someone fucked up the rot rotation cause 2 people were dead. We got done, and litterly we both were like retard pumped that such a thing was even possible...

Then I went brd and we cleared it first attempt >< however, i got Allagan mask of aiming, so was pretty stoked about that.

Day, the difference in +1 and having 1/2 ilvl 90 stuff isn't gonna make or break ya, I did it simply cause I wanted it out of the way, Most likely what will happen is we'll beat turn 5 in a few weeks, and the god damn bow will drop and fuck a duck is what i'll say.

For anyone having apprehension about leveling and playing a healer, it is the quiet hero of this video game. When you can force shit players to succeed, that's saying something.

It says your playing with shit players... I dunno, still pumped at my super hero mask, earring dropped two but it went to the other bard, since i have a quint melded Rose gold in that slot.
