'Steel Reason' is easily my favorite song from the game thus far. It's the boss theme that plays when fighting one of the three judges (or whatever they are called in this game, I forgot.) Every time I have to run Castrum again I get very annoyed until I get to Livia and the boss music starts up.

There's 2 types of tokens you can turn in for endgame gear. Philosophy tokens are used to buy darklight gear (item level 70) and generally the most efficient way to farm them is speedrunning either Praetorium or Castrum Mehwhatever (2 final story instances). The other tokens are mythology tomes and you can only get 300 of these per week (resets every Monday), these are most easily farmed in Amdapor Keep (40 per run) but if you're partying with randoms you'll probably catch shit if you don't have decent gear. Those are used for item level 90 gear, a lot of which are the best available for certain slots. For a weapon you'll wanna either farm Ifrit (can be done in AF np) or get carried through Amdapor Keep to get your final Grand Company promotion and pick up the 50 GC weapon. Wouldn't worry too much about getting started on relic until you have a few darklight pieces and an Ifrit or GC wep.

If you have 7 other decked out people to carry you you can ignore all this shit and finish relic the same day you finish story but w/e.

@ Zealot: You can easily do everything up to and including Ifrit in full AF for the relic questline, so yes start that immediately after you finish story just so you have it out of the way. Get your GC weapon ASAP. Then farm CM and AK repeatedly, welcome to Endgame where there is literally 3 things to do, one of which you can't do until you've done a ridiculous amount of the other two.

I don't know what class you're playing but if you're a tank then every single one of the Primal fights is an absolute joke, it just depends entirely on everybody else on the party not being retarded. For WAR you'll want at least 6500 hp for Titan, idk what for PLD but the gear requirement is probably way less cause it's PLD. If you're not a tank then they're still easy, it just requires you dodge stuff.

I can't speak for how other tanks play because I play a tank and none of my dual tank situations have been "complicated" enough for me to gauge. Just seems like whenever someone is going full retard, it's always the fucking dps, somehow. Sometimes you get an incompetent healer, but man dpses man.

I used to think the same thing and then I did Titan.

And it still wasn't that bad.

Then I did Coil.

Conclusion: DPS is EZMODO and if you're dying and your healers and tanks aren't dead, you're so bad at this game it isn't even funny.

Song doesn't work for me because they had some very fitting epic songs in FF12 for the judge fights and then they put in this B-Movie martial arts themed Super Sentai bullshit that has no place in this game whatsoever. If I was transforming into the Green Ranger and then using the Megazord to defeat those bosses then sure, I wouldn't mind it.

Gaius' theme owns the fuck out of that song. Makes you feel like he's about to push your shit in, and he damn near did my first time fighting him.
