I feel like I got very little done. Started with Saturday (Non P3 pleb) right from the get-go when open beta went live (3am?). Got 90000'd right from the get-go out of the main story quest that gives you leve/inn access, and all subsequent class quests as well. I spend the remaining time grinding XP from FATEs and higher level monsters in East Shroud, where I basically spent the rest of the beta until 3102 killed me completely until the end of beta.

I ended up sating my need to play by rolling a JP Pugilist on Titan. As expected, I had absolutely no errors or issues playing on the JP servers; I actually got level 20 PUG, got to Ifrit, and got one crafting job to 12 on the JP server. I pretty much got three times as far on JP servers as I did on my main.

I'll obviously be catching up in prerelease so N.B.D., just had hoped to get a bit more done.

That's insane, either that or I'm just getting old.

I'm on holidays and my fiancee was visiting her parents for the week-end, so I didn't really do much outside of the game besides running in the morning, going out on Saturday for like 3 hours, sleeping 5-6 hrs per night and walking out the dog 3-4 times a day yet I got "just" 2 classes to 20 and one to 15.

Nonetheless it still felt like a humongous amount of barely tolerable grinding;

There were times when I wondered how the heck people (including myself back in my hardcore XI days, 7 or so years ago) manage to play this kinda games for so many hours in a row (after the 4th or 5th mind-numbingly repetitive, 45 minutes long dungeon run in a totally silent pick-up group I really couldn't stand it anymore and had to give myself a break), there's no way these guys didn't feel like a fucking chinese gilseller at the end of this/their neglected and motion-deprived bodies didn't constantly make them feel the need to get off of the computer and enjoy some fresh air.

Shit like this is definitely not healthy (let alone fun, sitting in front of a computer 10+ hrs a day is the polar opposite of fun, no matter what amazing piece of electronic entertainment you're playing) and surely not something I'd ever feel like bragging about (which is prolly the only kick these guys have truly gotten out of it) in this day and age.

Didn't get quite as much done as i really wanted to.

Glad to see Someone JP took (almost) all classes to 20. He also started from scratch, right?
Is there anyone else who got as far as that JP guy? Or even further maybe?
Always good to see that there's room to go even further and more definitely is possible!

I didn't get near what I wanted done in P4, my plan was 20 GLD, 20 CNJ, 20 MRD, then mine like crazy and stock the market with mats before people start to get serious on that craft train.

Then 3102 hit me saturday evening and I was locked out for like 28 hours. I still managed to do some work, but I am not satisfied. Haha

And did the class quests 1-20 for LNC/PGL/THM plus the story line up to Ifrit, It's more or less what I wanted to do, minus leveling Miner 1-20.

Got Arcanist to 20 with class quests done (well 20 is done just not turned in)
Main story up to Sastasha, would have gone further but didn't want to waste the exp since Acn was already at 20. On a side note, the bonus exp from having higher level class is god like.
Level 20 class quests for Mrd, Lnc, Arc, Crp.

I came in wanting to get THM somewhere decent, left with THM done, storyline to ifrit almost done, WVR to 13, and just a general amount of "Holy crap I did so much in like 15 hours play time!". I've dabbed in many a MMO, but this one has me so hooked just from the amount of fun I'm having.

Totally agree. Getting around is a lot faster and easier to do (except for the cost of ferrys around LL mehhh) and it seems like I get a LOT done in a small amount of time rather then spending all my in game time running from A to B then back to A and to C then to A and to D then turn in at A, looking at the clock and 4 hours have passed. Can't wait till Saturday.

It's 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds, but you save a lot of cash over time if you use the chocobo porter to get to Aleport instead of the ferry.
Like, just use the time to grab a snack or hit the bathroom.

Still haven't used one lol. Only my personal one. It's 100 for the ferry, but 159 for the teleport. There's more than just this one though. If you go to eastern side there's a couple of them that will ferry you between the map. All of them are 100. Honestly, I'm just being stingy because with 2 mil in my pocket it's not a big deal. I'm just looking out for the people just starting out. I think the prices should be 25-50 gil a trip so people actually use them.
