The Cizin set is amazing just for the PDT/Hybrid set potential. Older PDT pieces actually make you take more damage than newer ones, even with more PDT on them (for example, Gorney Sollerets/Cizin Greaves w/ 2+ PDT actually reduce damage by more than Phorcys Schuhs).
Just making sure I didn't miss anything; are lebondopt wings useless after I cap drops?
gear not rare, could get situational augements
I'm curious why some base +1 weapons like qat blow delve out of the water while some are so much less that augs probably wont over take
Could someone do me a big favor and tell me which skirmish weapons+1 are arguably better than the delve versions?
Looking at those augments makes me feel like PDT is the only thing that gets higher end Augments more stable with the stone tier ⌐ ⌐
Dat 21 pet mab <.<. SE is just loving smn right now lol
I got 26 Mab hat, 25 mab body. Super excited. Gloating aside, what's the highest number on secondary augment? I thought it was 24 previously.
Do you mean 13+13MAB augment on the hat or 13+26MAB?
Wish the augments were a bit more unique like legion Abjuration augments. I mean the PDT+1-2% and DA+1-2% is nice and all but...eh..
Yeah... it seems like melees kind of got shafted with this gear (augment-wise). I mean, +7 attack vs. +25 magic attack? I'm not complaining b/c I play both types of jobs, but the difference is staggering. I almost don't even feel like bothering with melee stuff. Most of the delve gear is better (R15) for pure damage.
Even if I could get ranged attack +7-99 on the iuitl feet, it's not even going to make a difference at this point, due to how easy pDIF is to cap. At least mages will see some improvement in their damage.
Mages needed it a lot more than melee did <_< the discrepancy between magic damage and melee damage was (and probably still will be) huge.
I know this sounds like a weird question, and possibly a bit off the wall. But I was looking into building a new DT set for RDM with the Beatific Shield in it, so I could cap both PDT and MDT with the same set. I was planning on building a PDT Shikarger to go with it, and assuming I could get minimum 3% PDT on shield + 5 pieces of new Skirmish gear, I could easily hit 50% PDT. Than I started thinking, would it be better to try to cap PDT as high as I could without the weapon slot, and use something like Buramenk'ah to raise my item level instead? Would that have more of an impact on damage taken, than trying to cap PDT with an old Magian weapon? I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice before I sink the time into another magian item, lol.
