Maybe using fewer or no Noetic's ranks up the chest since Noetics are kind of like handicaps?
Maybe using fewer or no Noetic's ranks up the chest since Noetics are kind of like handicaps?
I went to go solo a 1/1/1, but there's a 3 person entry requirement. Lame.
Were you able to solo enter in the other two? I think I remember seeing people in the zone without party, but never really paid attention. Anyways, Lola has always mentioned, with some lore flair to it, something about "we used to always go all out and get a party of 6 to enter those skirmishes, but we were never able to enter with fewer than 3." or something to that effect.
Might actually be the opposite, idk. The only time I've ever seen a rank up was when we had 2 stockades up. I've yet to see it with only one or none. It may be...
A. Higher chance with higher tier feet? We started using feet I because there's simply no reason/need to use feet III. Haven't seen upgrade with 3/3/1.
B. # of ascensions used increases chance?
I've always used ascensions asap, but one time we got a rank up at 40% before I had a chance to use any but one because I d/cd on enter. The next time, we tried not using any until 60% and nothing came of it.
Just did a 1/1/1, used 1 NA at the start, killed no dens, killed about half of them with the appropriate weakness, got no coffer level up. Hope this gets figured out soon <_<
Another point - if it's not random, what the heck is the purpose of the head tiers? I could see it being random with a certain probability of rank up, and that probability being higher with higher tier heads. If there was a way to guarantee it, the head tier would be irrelevant.
It was always said that heads controlled the "quality" of personal chest drops. In original Skirmish, maybe things were different, but high tier stones seemed to be a given off a tier V head, however, it was ran so few times by people who'd document it, that I don't think a pattern of any type was figured out. I do recall a run where the best anyone got was 2x NQ of a tier V V V set.
Looking at Yorcia Skirmish however, I've had my fair share of bum tier V heads. I wanna say 3 runs with tier V that have resulted in 0-1 +2 for each person in the group, a few more where everyone got at least 1, some 2, and only one run (with a coffer upgrade to 2 stars) where everyone got 2-5 +2s.
I was always under the impression that head increased the "base" quality of the loot, such as getting +1s instead of NQs. However, with some of the drops I've seen (V V V, 3x NQ 1 +1 2 wings blood bead last night.....) I gotta question whether that's actually the case or not.
There's still the question of not only how are coffer upgrades controlled (if they are at all) but what causes a 1 star, 2, 3, 4, and 5? What's the difference between the stars? I've seen reports of people getting mass +2s with a low star, and junk with 4. Had a run last night where we got 2 star on a III III III at 40%, gave most of us a +1 (other guy got a bead lolol), where as a run earlier in the night on a II II II gave a 1 star and everyone got a +2.
I won't shit on the theories but you guys give SE too much credit. Its probably random just like the RSE cape drops.
I've only done 5-10 of these so far and the only thing that I noticed was that last night we had body pieces dropping like candy when all the previous runs I never saw a single one. I also noticed it was a full moon, if that matters. All of these have been 1/1/1 or in one or two occasions it was 1/2/1.
well in Old Skirmish head 4-5 had really high posibilities to give +2, I used to triplebox them, and always ended with 3-8 +2(1-3 on each character), rarelly 0 dropped on them but was possible. in Skirmish 2, I have used 3x head 4 and 1 head 5... and the only time my party got +2 was when we got lvl up in a head 3.
So maybe high tiers of head have more chance for level up.. for me just doing t1-3 atm coz are the ones I still have in stock.
just did 3 Cirdas T4 body, first one, from start point went left, and started the route. since the last wall that drops is in the left side, the others 2 decide to start going right both times got chest w/ 3 starts, on first run none. so can "confirm" kill order is what trigger it.
Is it possible this appearance of random could be caused by a % chance instead of absolutes when it comes to our actions? Meaning there could be multiple variables and not just one, and each could impact the chance of upgrade but are not all inclusive or need to be done but rather performing these actions improve your odds... I'll give an example.
Killing an Enemy with its Weakness = 2% Chance of upgrade per kill.
Damage/Killing a Den = 10% Chance to upgrade per Den.
Tent going undamaged = 10% Chance to upgrade
Of course these numbers are just used as an example to clarify my point, Is it possible we've stumbled on the possibility but dismiss it or rule it out under the assumption that "If we found it, It'd be 100% Controllable" when this is SE We're talking about and I'd like to assume theres going to be no exact way to control coffer ranks but rather a chance based on a set of circumstances? My guess is there are some actions that may improve the likelihood, but in the end its still mostly random, as to keep the event relevant for as long as possible.
Are the heartwings people found up at the start of the run or do they pop after a while at random time?
Could try killing the Den with the appropriate weakness.
whats if it's a t1 body though and there's only one side;;
so just did a 2/2/2 run got no stars through the whole run, but had 2 members get a single +2 stone.
I read somewhere that Ghastly Stones can be converted into Verdigris Stones? Is this true? What's the ratio? 6 Ghastly for 1 Verdigris?
