I think if you're crafting, you'll be able to start to make things for players around Lv.30. I could be wrong, but I don't foresee equipment coming as easily through quests as it does in the early game. If it's someone's second job, they won't be completing as many gear quests either.

The end game crafting looks interesting. I think it will bridge that gap between equipment. As long as someone is willing to materia meld, they'll be able to hold on until they get end tier gear. Also like Carraway has pointed out; the materia, if done correctly, might create highly-focused gear.

There is also the AF+1 or AFII gear (what should we refer to it as from here on out AF+1 or AFII?), which looks like you'll really have to work and grind towards with Tomes of Mythology. You'll need decent gear as you work your way to a complete set.

Calling that AFII since it's a new name and new look not just enhance stats

Thanks for the screenshots. I didn't realize the HQ (without melds) was so close to DL.

After seeing the latest dungeon video, CC might be a little lower. AV sounds right (might be level50 though).

    Longstop (level32-34 as of beta 3) -> Sunken Temple -> Cutter's Cry -> Dzemael Darkhold -> Stone Vigil -> Wanderer's Palace -> Aurum Vale -> Amdapor Keep (level50, as of Yoshida's Letter)

Guys I recently read some awesome info on endgame warrior tanking. Figured I'd post it here since this seems to be the right place for it!

Lalafell is tops because they are hardest to see esp. in PvP but also monsters can't see so well being huge and all cause of the aether and stuff.

    2. Best Grand Company

    Ul'dah
    Limsa
    Gridania

Ul'dah and Limsy p.close but Ul'dah wins because Raubahn is so strong and the desert is also where we defeated 12 birds and a crazy man to unlock #1 ability Steel Cyclone.

Gridania is a forest with a bunch of faeries I mean come on. It's sort of like a big brothel and not much else.

    3. UI Setup

Obv. you should be playing keyboard+mouse or some combo of such with gameboard or whatever. If you were like, damn imma use a controller and be as good as Church then many lols will be mailed to you via the all new and innovative Moogle Delivery System (tm). Clicking is your friend, if you have played FPS then maybe you got the skills but if not then you need practice and lots of it. I recommend playing a healer who clicks to heal to practice being a tank.

Other than that it is preference really but there are some things that are logical that when people don't do them then i get lost but whatevs.

    4. Cross Class skills

#1 skill ever is Flash obviously because Warrior doesn't do any AoE deeps so you need Flash to get AoE threat otherwise you are garbage.

But just in case Warrior did have sick AoE deeps and conal threat poppers then here is the pro status cross classers of 2013:

Second Wind - pdope ability gives you HP, not as jawsome as 1.0 but still a pgood staple ability .

Featherfoot | Haymaker - these two go hand in hand but if you only need the power of un then Featherfoot would be da bess but I can think of a few sits where I'd drop Haymaker and have to pick up other stuff.

Mantra | Convalescence - Can both be used, but I look at it more like which will I need. They share ident cds so you're really looking at do you need max cure powers or do you need to throw some support to the bads who can't dodge shit who will run rampant around you like goddamn faeries.

    Internal Release - yes

Provoke - hate reset or fights you know you will suck and die. one of the more easily dropped abilities for known dungeons and shits.

Flash - Warrior does no AoE deeps so make sure to grab this #1 ability.

My standard bar is Second Wind | Featherfoot | Haymaker | Mantra | Internal Release

    5. Super dope rots

idk, this part seems real easy for any class but it's dungeon dependent at the same time. Warrior has to manage an extra function like Monk does and the order and end result of that function are dependent on 2 variables, of which both can be active in the same run and may require timing at specific points to ensure that one of them is active, or the CD for infuriate is on go status.

The only thing to really manage otherwise is Fracture and Haymaker but that doesn't really seem to require much thought for either.

tldr more to come when galaxy first nexus for Nael Van Darnus resurrected Black Chocobo Extreme Mode.

Really though, your job is to get Wrath. You get Wrath by tanking. It's not hard. You don't have to manage Maim uptime because it's the pre-req to Storm's Path which heals you and gives you mad wraths AND then Storm's Eye which has a lower timer on the debuff so idk why they made Maim longer without adjusting that. You can also do psick deeps if you don't need the HP or enmity from Defiance. You lose your ability to use SC or Inner Beastmode but yeah.

Perfect Mercy Strokes and Vengeance wrath building will be the new Sacred Prism management.

prolly not tho cause the game is crayola kids.

    6. Stat Allocation

I will copy paste this info from one of the many emails, PMs, and sexual offers I get regarding Strength or Vitality.

    i dunno

    a) The game has OHKO abilities that can be dodged but maybe tanks are super lazy and don't dodge or they are conal and people are just bads so they stack mad VIT because they want to use a shield and sit there 5eva.

    b) The game has single target auto attack abilities that OHKO or close to it requiring super high burst HP prevention.

If the game is a), which it has to be to an extent or there is no way to reconcile the HP disparity of the other 7 party members, then having retarded HP buffs outside of specific melds for specific instances is a waste --> Go all STR

If the game is b), which due to the HP disparity of the other classes it would have to be IF WAR/PLD's HP was meant to be used as a burst safety net then that VIT might be necessary.

HP is simply burst prevention though, once you are past the games threshold of what it will throw at you (or you have the ability to get there should it be required) then anything beyond that is a waste. This is what we don't currently know but might be able to get an idea of by running some of the older content (AV/CC/Gslut Hard)

STR may not add ridiculous gains but if there is no huge burst threat then whatever it adds is more than zero so that's pgood.

    7. Melds and gear stuffs

More on this laters because we are working on some gangster status gear but had mad 3102's so yeah.

Please discuss and tell me about using Flash or how you think Warrior should be a DPS instead.

If you have WVR leveled, it looks like you can guarantee NQ completion on anything that the game will permit you to attempt.

    Speculation thread so...

I was putting the numbers together and I think these are the dungeon levels:
    Spoiler: show
    LV15-18 Satasha
    LV16-19 Tam-Tara Deepcroft
    LV17-20 Copperbell Mines
    LV20-23 Halatali
    LV23-26 Thousand Maws of Totorak
    LV26-29 Sunken Temple of Qarn
    Lv29-32 Haukke Manor
    LV32-35 Brayflox's Longstop
    LV35-38 Cutter's Cry
    LV38-41 Stone Vigil
    LV41-44 Dzemael Darkhold
    LV44-47 Wanderer's Palace
    LV47-50 Aurum Vale
    LV50-50 Amdapor Keep
    LV50-50 Castrum Meridianum Baileys
    LV50-50 The Praetorium

There's a clear pattern after you do the story dungeons if Qarn fills the missing levels between Totorak and Manor so I think it will be there... and then the leveling dungeons end right before Amdapor, the only dungeon confirmed to be Level 50.

The list also places AV as level47, its beta 3 level.

    IT FITS

    EDIT: IT'S PROBABLY ALL WRONG
EDIT2: Increased the end levels by 1 since they did that for the first 4 dungeons in beta 4.

Weaver is probably one of the least useful ones if you're just "trying" to NQ. If your gear is shit and the recipe is above you the problem is running out of durability without enough Progress, to that end Blacksmith and Armorer are much better, with stuff like Manipulation from GSM helping you keep the craft going longer. You can NQ and HQ anything from the get go though without cross class skills. Not sure where that level 30 prediction came from because my BSM made useful shit 1-20. My damn level 1 GSM made HQ level 5 hora for my PGL (which I then swapped to another HQ pair from BSM).

The first four dungeon levels were bumped up, it was in the patch notes.

    LV15-18 Satasha
    LV16-19 Tam-Tara Deepcroft
    LV17-20 Copperbell Mines
    LV20-23 Halatali

I can confirm CBM because I helped out Cupcake Princess and Gulk for a run, and my L20 GLD was not synced down to 19

I had a ACN sync to us for Sastasha and he was capped at 18 so that would confirm these levels as well.

    welp, nevermind

EDIT: Although I guess the level pattern can't be noticed until after Halatali. The list could still work if we increased the "end" level for all the dungeons. Going to leave the list edited like that.

I don't know that it's even possible to run out of durability if you are spamming a 120% progress ability with 100% success rate. Manipulation got a HUGE buff from P3->P4, but it is not even in the same league as Careful Synthesis II (as you're still subject to pass/fail checks on progress attempts).

I haven't personally used the LV15 ability (90% progress, 100% success), but I'd imagine even that would be enough to spam your way through anything the game will let you attempt. I'll try a LV50 synth naked when the game comes back up.

I'm dumb, I was under the assumption the 50 WVR skill cost CP but apparently it's OP as shit. Durability probably wouldn't be a problem in that case but I haven't seen what */** recipes are like. Maybe they'll require more finesse.

Not with reasonable gear, no. Though you'd certainly fail if you tried a 0-star lv50 synth with nothing on but a weathered mainhand tool.

It will never be. The WVR ability combined with the LTW one would guarantee an NQ result on any recipe.

I thought the same thing. Having it cost no CP is ridiculous. Glad I was leveling WVR anyway.

And here I thought we'd be more interested in how Great Strides and Advanced touched worked over Careful Synthesis II.

Does quality gain scale down on higher level recipes? Can you use Ingenuity to get more out of touch actions on */** synths?
