Redeeming pre-order code

Does registering on this site give me early access, or was that the 20 digit code?

I have an extra preorder code (XXXXXX 000 XXXXXX 000) that I don't need because I'm legacy, and I wanted to give it to a friend so he could get early access.

Seems to me that SE has some mixed signals on their site. Pic below is from NA.finalfantasy.com but on the bottom it is waiting for the EU.square.enix server. Maybe that's correct, what do i know, i'm no computer scientist.

That's definitely part of the issue, SE is getting their wires crossed somewhere and mixing up EU and NA sites.

Am I missing something here? As long as you enter your code by the ~23rd, aren't you good to go? I saw the issues and just said I'd just wait a couple days.

That code is a code used to redeem the code for Early Access.

So you should be able to enter it yourself and give the new code to your friend or just straight up give the current code to them and let them deal with it.

Also, SE site seems to be crashing now.

For people who got their codes to go through and possibly for those of us who filled out the information after logging in with our SE id's and got linked to EU instead of NA we may be screwed out of beinv able to use or get new codes to register with.

Worked for here for PS3 (site says NA) Just can't enter code yet on the PSN but that's not a big deal for now (hope i didnt got a EU code lol)

Hey how did you get on Live chat with SE? Everything I choose only gives me the option to do email support.

Open the page source. All of the account links in the NA site goto eu.square-enix.com. This is quite the bad fuck-up on their part. The membership you create on the NA page is literally an EU account.

I don't think SE has any wires crossed, they filter/run a lot of their site traffic through the EU servers, and people have gotten working NA codes all day (it's been routing through the EU servers all day too). Odds are the region mismatches are either a result of the server getting slammed, or Digital River/SE/Amazon really dun fucked up.

I just managed to redeem a code. I am a 1.0 non legacy but Collector's Edition EU player who got a code from Amazon. Spammed the first site, eventually it registered, gave me a full code then gave me a link to where I could redeem it. I did it and could see my account

FFXIV: ARR's support page doesn't show anything beyond Email Support because they're full of shit, so I just use the Support Center from the Square Enix website.

Odds are the PSN codes won't go live until whenever the PSN store updates today. Happens on and off with pre-order bonus shit on other games too.

Yeah I'm not bothering putting any codes in for a day or so. I have early access anyways from legacy, I'll wait for my Cait Sith Minion. Fuck this headache, hope all you guys with the issues get your codes straightened out.

Anyhow, I have a different issue. My code never went through correctly when I entered it earlier. But when I look at my account, it lists the game. My issue is that I have now canceled the preorder from amazon that gave me the code I used. I have a new one from GMG.

I am still not 100% sure it REALLY went through though, since SE said that none of the codes used have been put in correctly. Or at least that is what I recall from someone's earlier quote.
