3102 and then this, it's one launch fuck up after another. Only this time it's messing w/paying customers. It's their fault for doing pre order codes in the most convulted way possible, instead of doing what every other game ever known has always done and just give you a code on your receipt you can immediately redeem via your account

Hopefully its all sorted out by early access date. SE's track record for jumping through hoops to give them money and access their game is what ultimately led me to drop XI if I'm honest. You guys remember when they tried to change over payment system to something where you had to like... buy 'crysta' and then there was this shady website involved as a middleman or something really weird. I don't remember the specifics but I recall just letting my membership go ahead and lapse, as I didn't try to get through all the ridiculous payment methods.

Why so complicated?

They only in the last 3-4 months removed that shady website from their payment options. It went on for far too long, really.

A side note, 3102 is reported to be fixed officially for EA. Now waiting for the code fix.

I still have 2000 Crysta on my FFXIV account because I never paid for a month of service.
Hopefully I can still use it!

So after reading all this, and hunting around reddit posts, I went ahead and bought/pre-ordered the PS3 digital version off the PSN, because apparently* unlike anything else (including the physical PS3 version), you do not need to bother with the code/website, you just get straight up early access.

* Do not take as gospel, this may all be in error, we shall see come the 24th, but my die is cast.

I entered my pre-order code on the pre-order website and they sent me a e-mail with an other key, i entered the new key on a other website with my SE account login etc, is there any way to check if it worked? when i login to my SE account it only shows my ffxi stuff and under FFXIV: "active accounts Final fantasy XIV" (i had the old 1.0 version) should it not show the pre-order bonus also or anything else?

Feeling similar, but I guess I can deal with it if they throw cool bosses into FATEs.
