If this goes on for another day or two, I feel like the best solution for them might just be to let Saturday be open to everyone. I mean, realistically, how many people were going to play next Tuesday that wouldn't have access on Saturday for either being Legacy or for preordering? It has to be only a small percentage.

I think that would make the most sense, but then people are going to complain that they pre-ordered and they're paying and blah blah blah. Though realistically, you aren't paying any more to pre-order than to buy the game.

So being a EU account holder and having EU pre order codes am i good to go or should i still hold off?

Was constantly getting Error 3 yesterday and nothing showing up on either accounts and no emails. Seems like just all you NA guys are getting screwed! This sort of stuff and the very poor customer support is the biggest draw back for SE! Hope it doesnt hurt them too bad as the game deserves to do well imo!

from what Im gathering this is a put in this code which gives you another code which you have to attach to your account as your "preorder" code and then when game officially launches you put in your real legit code, etc

I'm signed up as NA but after I enter the code and check my account it redirects to an EU site. I just preordered like 3 days ago.

No, pretty sure it was mentioned that PC and PS3 codes differ. But when you go redeem it, it gives you an option for both systems and once redeemed, it only shows up as "PC" on the SE account management site. Yea, it's all sorts of fucked.

You put in this code (the pre-order, pre-order code) and get the actual pre-order code. You attach that code to your SE account and it activates EA and the preorder bonuses on your account.

How about accounts that have a 1.0 version registered on it? Once you have the EA code registered to the account, I can't see why you can't play on both platforms.

I had no issues as EU, nor have I seen any EU peeps complaining outside of the Error 3 spam. I still haven't got an email after doing it early yesterday though. On successful input it took me to a page and gave me the code so it's not an issue, just something to be wary of.

Edit: After looking at the EU community site it seems like lots are going through but still erroring, which means they're not getting a code and have to rely on a faulty email. Best to wait.

Should I be worried that when logging into the redemption site (http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com) and I go to the profile, it doesn't list most of the games I know I've registered before? XII, XIII-2, Nier, etc. It only shows Hitman Sniper Challenge PC bullshit. Is this just part of this week's clusterfuck? I keep getting Error 3, now I'm wondering if I should be worried that I ended up with two accounts somehow and registering it to the wrong one will fuck me. This happened long ago with EA's crappy system back then. And Bioware. And probably a few others. Note: logging into the "Square Enix Account Management System" at square-enix.com looks fine, shows XI/XIV, etc. so I'm not worried about that, I guess I'm just wondering if I should be worried about these two sites being connected more than I realize.

Those games arent listed because it makes you create a new members account even if you already had one which is why you dont see your previous games, and is the major issue with people getting the wrong region codes.
