I just want to confirm I did this correctly before I go fucking anything up:

1. I was a 1.0 member, but I was not legacy.

2. I was told for early access, I would need to pre-order the digitcal PC version again for $29.99. I did this, and I got a code.

3. That code can be applied to my 1.0 account to give my phase 4 character early access on Saturday, yes?

Nope, you will need to preorder a ps3 version. You cannot have 2 pc versions tied to the same service account.

Pre order code is not the game registration code.

The preorder code is separate and can be applied to any account.

Oh my god, every single time.

The Game registration code is NOT the same thing as the Pre-Order code. The Pre-Order code can be applied on an already-existing account.

$29.99 is about $100 cheaper than the cost of my bar tab if I wasn't staying in on a weekend playing FFXIV....I couldn't care less.

You can. I am in the same situation. I PO'd from Amazon. They give you the promotional code via email. The registration code for the game will also be emailed to you when the game releases, mines will be in the game box since I ordered a physical copy. The Preorder code has nothing to do with registration for the game. I plan on selling the registration code I get after the game comes out and doing digital CE upgrade.

Thats very understandable as it's been a good combo of a clusterfuck and people not paying attention when giving out info.

From the Devs:

"Will people who have the 1.0 Collector's Edition be able to apply the pre-order bonus in-game items and early access rights to their old accounts if they pre-order the standard PC version of the game?"

"When registering the pre-order bonus code you will be able to select which FFXIV service account the bonus is applied to."
