I remember making an SE Members account back before 1.0 launch to register a code from FFXIII for a bonus item. When entering the early access code, it took my log-in info, but seems to be treating it as a new account. FFXIII isn't listed in my games, and the account shows it was created today. (It also won't let me change account settings, and sometimes tells me I'm not authorized to see my own page.) I guess this is just their system being totally borked... but I hope it isn't a problem that will prevent me from registering the code.

I got mine squared away semi-easily. I did have to go in and change my damn language to Englush (US) before Error:3 would go away.

Now I just need my damn Before Meteor OST.

"What finally worked for me was editing my profile settings. Basically, after going to the pre-order code entry site and picking your language, it asks you to log in. After you log in (you may need to fill in some information) it'll take you to the code entry page.
Instead of entering the code, I clicked my newly chosen handle in the upper right corner of the page. That displayed a drop down, and I clicked the "My Profile" option. That took me to the profile details page.
I filled in the information there and noticed that my language was set to English (UK). I changed that to English (US), saved my information, went back to the pre-order page, and was able to enter in my code without any problems."

Worked for me perfectly just now. I noticed the na preorder site redirected me to an eu URL. Changing that in account settings let the rest go through.

Edit: I still don't know what's up with my account though, I totally set one up 3 years ago. Either it got deleted from inactivity, or it bugged out and I have both an NA and EU account now. It currently says I've been a member since today.

I noticed that crap too, but I manually change the URL to .na. before proceeding... Though I don't think it made a difference since it still defaulted my language to English (UK) after creating the account.

Just got off the phone with SE and they are aware of the issue. They had me give them both my serial number and the EA PS3 code that was generated for me and told me they were expediting every ticket regarding this to the front of the line so that hopefully everyone will have a working EA code for Saturday. He recommended just keeping an eye on the forums/lodestone/twitter and holding off on trying to have the preorder registration site generate u a new code until SE gives an update on the status of the site.

My recommendation would be to open a ticket if u haven't already and if u have the time call support and give them your info so they can expedite your case as well. Their support number is 1-858-790-7529.

Hopefully they get everyone who had issues with this fixed by EA or they are going to end up having alot of angry fans. Its good to know they are atleast aware of it though and are trying to find a fix.

To me... it took around 5 minutes... And all they said was:

You: Yes, but its a friends account. And my account is 1.0 account.
You: Can my account be banned for registering my friend's account?

Agent Jordan G: It should not be but I can not grantee anything.
You: Is there anywhere saying that it cant be done?
Agent Jordan G: Not that I know of but again I can not grantee.
Agent Jordan G: Are there any different issues I can assist you with right now?
You: Yes, another question please.
You: What happens if someone pre-orders a copy, gets the code e-mail, and then uses it to get early-access? The money is returned, buw what happens about the key?
Agent Jordan G: The retailer might request we stop the use of the code but we do not have full information.

He didnt even let me ask anything else, he ended the session right away.
Also SE workers dont know about their polices? please...

And now idk if i can register my friends code or not.........
