According to the page after putting in early access(for the PC), if you participated in the Phase 4 beta your client is good for official release.

In addition to this, if you go to "Game" on the XMB > Saved Data Utility (PS3), you should find at least 2-4 FFXIV saves. 2 are from the beta and 2 are from the pre-order DL. one of the two for the pre-order DL is described as "system data" and the 2nd is the save for the standard pre-order items. These should be the two DL's you did when you if you bought from the PSN. The saved file with the items may be updated with content from when you played beta P4 assuming you beta'd on PS3 as shown below.

I do not have a hard copy. This is the digital download (FFXIV: ARR/2.0) that you can currently purchase, download and install via the Playstation Store (PSN). You can purchase the standard or collectors edition. Services listed will show what you have currently have. If you made a purchase and it's not showing what you purchased there (IE: Standard or CE), then there might be a problem. At the moment, given all the registering problems I been reading about, this has been the most efficient and easiest way to DL the game and be rdy for EA as a PS3 owner.

Well, yeah, digital or whatever, you have the code from the game itself, pre-order code won't show CE in the services yet.

Decided to try one of our codes tonight and see how it went. Got through SE's page without error, got a working PSN code and flagged the account for EA. Calibos thanks for showing us that by the way, feels like I'm five but the visual aid really does help.

Gotta get GF's account through now, have to wait till she's awake tomorrow I don't know her SE login.

Registered my code way early today and got my RAAU code and promptly registered it to my SE account. Now 10ish hours later I got the confirmation email with a RAAE code in it...

I keep getting "The entered code is invalid." and no error number or anything. I'm using the serial number I got in the order confirmation from SE directly. It's 18 digits so it should be the right one. Do you think how I enter it matters? I'm just doing 4x 4 and 2 in the final one. Or is this a common error most people are getting?

Nevermind...I was on the wrong website, followed the wrong link from this thread.

Edit2: Now getting an Error 2 for my 2nd key, key has already been used...wtf >.>

So, I hope to hell I'm just freaking out for no reason and me and my friend are over analyzing things way too much... but I think I messed things up for them and I'm hoping someone else knows the right info and can help.

Last month my friend decided they were going to play FFXIV too. They wanted a physical copy (for the art book etc) of the CE for PS3 but they were late deciding and most retailers like Amazon were already sold out of the PS3 CE. They were lucky enough to track down a copy of the collector's edition from another online retailer, but that retailer was not providing early access codes. Not realizing that this whole code thing would be one giant mess, I suggested that they should just buy a regular copy of the PS3 version from Amazon for the EA code and then use that copy once it arrived for their girlfriend who also might want to play on her PS3 down the line.

They were able to use the EA code from amazon on their PSN account yesterday, but now they are worried that the regular PS3 version is tied to their PSN account and they won't be able to obtain the items that come with the CE. Does anyone know for sure if I've screwed things up for them? Were the EA codes also the codes for the actual game too, or is there an entirely separate code inside the CE box that they will be able to link to their account once it arrives in the mail?

tldr: Is my friend boned for buying both both the CE and the RE for the PS3 but using the EA code that came with the RE on their account before their CE arrives?

So I used my code no problem and have FFXIV on my SE account however I think I used the EU code. Now the code I just received, which is an AE code, keeps telling me it's invalid because my account isn't in the same region. Also I see nothing noting it's collectors edition on my account. Is this normal?

After you enter your 18 digit code you get another 20 digit code which is the real deal, the code starts with RAA then either has a U for US or E for EU. So RAAU is US.

Don't think so. Once the game officially launches and EA is over, you'll have to register your game. Pretty sure your friend would just need to register their CE to the account. But then again, it is SE...
