If you ordered this in store do you have to wait until the 27th or do retailers already have their copies and giving them out to people that pre ordered?

What if you purchased a physical CE for the PS3 but could not get an EA code from that retailer, so you purchased a physical copy of the RE for the PS3 just to get the EA code and linked that to your PSN account? How will you be able to get the in-game items that come with the CE if you don't ever have to enter another code? Are you now locked into only being able to have the RE linked to your PSN account?
For those lacking for a code like i was just got 1 from amazon. E-mail comes within 1-2 minutes after confirmation e-mail. Went through with the instuctions that came with e-mail and all was good.
nvm
Huge sigh of relief!http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post1031291
Greetings,
Version 1.0 account holders that have redeemed a PS3 pre-order code for early access on their account are now eligible to play on the PC version as well!
P.S.
Hello Searain, we'd be part of the same LS/FC it looks like![]()
If you can't get retailer to give you code, I would suggest you to refund it. Go elsewhere that can issue you a code immediately.
I went amazon.co.uk. Upon check-out, I got confirmation of purchase + another email for Pre-order Code.
For PS3 , like I said, you will be asked to link SE management account to your PSN accout, when you start the game.
And the message is pretty obvious, once linked, you won't be able to unlink it. Think carefully before you link your account , if you have multiple ...
Once again, PS3 do not need any 20 digit code.
Once you started game, and linked you account to PSN, you are entitled with Early Access and the items.
Again, and again... PS3 people, you just need to register your Pre-order Code, and redeem the PSN code, download the game.
Click start, link account , job done. Rest peacefully , relax, until EA starting.
EA code is just for EA. You'll still have to enter the code that comes with the physical copy once it arrives. They stated there would be a few days buffer to account for games arriving late, but at some point you will have to input the code that comes with your CE. Once you do that, you'll get the in-game items.
To add to this the grace period to enter the game registration code is til the 30th. Your CE bonuses will be obtained once you actually have your CE in hand and enter the code that comes with it for those items. (Might be a code for the CE items and one for the game registration, or it could be one for both)
Thanks Sol, too much shit to remember it all at this point.
Wasn't there a thing/issue with the possibility of registering a CE code (that registers both the game and items) to an account that already has the game registered from 1.0?
Well now, I have an interesting conundrum. My friend received both a PC and a PS3 code from gamestop. He went to http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ and redeemed both codes to his account. He received two codes via two emails for him to register with. Now, the account for that site is different from the account we use to log into ffxiv.
Does this mean I can register his ps3 code with my ps3+ffxiv accounts to get early access while he uses his pc code for early access, or is he already past the point of no return and we'd have to use that support thingy?
It seems ShopTo has screwed system or something? After my PS3 CE was dispatched I was able to claim a second pre-order code, lol.
You'll only be able to use the ARR CE PC game code to create a new account, you won't be able to link it to your old 1.0 account in any way. Not that you would want or need to - your 1.0 CE account automatically grants you all of the ARR CE in-game items.
The only people that got screwed over are those that bought the ARR CE PC version thinking they could upgrade their 1.0 standard accounts. That's not your case, although your purchase is a little redundant unless you wanted the physical items.
TL;DR, you're going to end up with an extra ARR CE PC game code
I mentioned this a few pages ago, yes. It looks like every person who preordered from ShopTo now has two codes.
I'm not exactly sure about when these items will be available: "launch" and "start of official service" are the only things I've seen mentioned by official sources, so they might not be available until the 27th. We'll find out soon I suppose.

There were a few more quotes but they were all from the beta forums. The in-game bonus items will be delivered via Moogle Letter when FFXIV: ARR launches.
Any time SE says the word "launch" or "live", they mean the 27th. Also, can't get my PC client to download the update, even with the PS3 early access code done. I guess we need to wait until they get Mog Station up.
