Can someone elaborate to me why dailies are such vile things? Is it just because you had to grind them for reputation (or something), to meet some specific threshold for gear/content?

FFXI had a few dailies (or were they weeklies? anyway...), but since they were mainly used for exp purposes (main reward was Miratete's Memoirs), I never heard anyone complain about them. If FFXIV's dailies are just used as an alternate source of exp, surely they won't be a bad thing... unless I'm missing something? In fact, they could even make the game feel more alive, if the quests aren't the exact same thing every single day.

Yes, doing dailys should feel rewarding, not tedious. (Tieing relevant endgame aspects to them is a no-no)

Because most MMO devs are retarded and either make them give infinite gold, practically making them a requirement (or you feel like you're throwing away gold every day you don't!) or require an insane amount of time gated grind (complete 50 days of dailies to get the only thing you care about) when the quests themselves are boring as fuck to do after the third time at best. Leves are a pretty great implementation of dailies, shit like WoW and TERA have are fucking awful.

I would think it's more to help gain EXP and Company Seals, and not have anything much to do with Endgame.

I witnessed Dailies in SWTOR and I have to say I didn't enjoy them after the first two weeks, but it was all you could do between Raids.

I'd prefer if they just implemented Daily Quests into the leve system. I'd like being able to accumulate the Daily Quests and do them when I feel like it instead of having to log in everyday and doing them.

GODDAMN IT, seriously, why the fuck did they do that? Dailies are the most boring bullshit ever and in many cases you have to do them or be left behind, they're the cancer of MMOs.

Not a big fan of dailies here. Unless it's just for quick xp. I don't want that crap where you need to complain xxx amount of dailies to get something sweet.
