This isn't the gathering thread, but I'm not sure we have one to be honest. What is the best combination of abilities to get the most clusters out of a node?

I'm assuming the most clusters you can get per node is 15 (3 per swing x 5 swings), but don't really know, haven't tried, just starting on the luci train and realized I'mma need a shit ton of clusters to do those 20 synths x 8 crafts.

No voodoo involved.

Swing once to reveal, use appropriate Ward, use 5% increased gathering skill, 5 hits, 15 clusters.

You can use a macro like this

/ac "byregot's ward"
/ac "nald'thal's ward"
/ac "llymlaen's ward"
/ac "thaliak's ward"
/ac "menphina's ward"
/ac "nophica's ward"

and it will automatically use the Ward corresponding to the cluster you revealed, or you can be lazy and just use the yield+2 skill since the time in between nodes is more than enough for your GP to replenish anyway.

Is there any reason to do the Ixal Deliverance quest (for moonstones) after you've completed all your Lucis? Can moonstones be used for anything else?

There are the DoL luci too, which you may or may not be including, but I know of no other use.

Would be completely like SE to gate some 3.0 content behind moonstones though.

Moonstones can also be traded for better crowned pies.

Is crowned pie a cul desynth? And does it take plat rings to synth?

Better crowned pie. i110 cul item, can be desynth, its tradable, but has a chance to yield rose gold rings only afaik, i70 rings not i110.

i found this last week if it helps prove anything about better crown pies there d100+ but i110 defo comes from them, ive also notice there alot of them on mb with no sig & im pretty sure they fixed the glitch where u could craft an item unsigned

Can also buy them with the leve turn in items you can get. Oilcloth, duck bones, composite whetstone, etc.

Control +6 or Control +4/CP +3 on Artisan Body? I'm assuming the latter.

Also, does anyone know the meld % for the fourth meld on the body? For instance if I wanted to put control +4 in that slot, what % chance does the meld have? I'm assuming like 22%.

The latter and I want to say it was the 20-25 range when I did mine. Only lost 4 at 200k/ea

What is the consensus on off-hand melds? I hear people are putting craftsmanship on them cause they want to hit 468 or something?

I'm just starting off-hand/luci/masterbook 2 grind now.

Will hear different opinions everywhere, but all my classes are Control IV, Craft III x3, CP+3. With lucis/melds each class is 493 craft, 428 control, 355 CP

I strongly suspect the other artisan gear from Talan gets added to the de-synth list with 2.55. Since they said they worried about economy stuff, that might be one.
