When I was levelling, once I hit 56 I calculated the number I needed to hit 60 and made that many. Then you can get your book and have extra left over!
Game keep prposing me Noble Codex, I have 1 more refresh before Red scrip reset, and we have alex tomorrow, think i'll just farm something else![]()
What's wrong with Noble Codex? It's one of the cheapest red script recipes.
Self-quote:
To continue this little story:
Since I was using an HQ lvl 55 hammer at the time, the HQ lvl 57 hammer you had to hand over for the quest was an upgrade, so I just told Gerolt (you have to make the hammer for Gerolt) to screw off, and proceeded to use the hammer I made for the quest.
Skip ahead a few days, I'm 59 @ 450k tnl with the quest still sitting in my log, the quest gives 480k, but I'd need to hand over the hammer I was still using.
So I made the lvl 60 hammer using the lvl 57 hammer, turned in the lvl 57 hammer for the quest completion which dinged me to 60, and could use my brand new hammer.
HA, suck on that, devs.

Hey guys, Kraval here, and back with more data!
So, it seems that the current numbers are off by a decent amount. I'm still working on the spreadsheet (here, and I'm inputting as much raw data as I can on page 2 to try to create as rounded of an equation as I can for this.
So! Lets start off:
The following data assumes Character.Level (clvl) equals Synthesis Level (slvl)
Spoiler: show
Which, according to this data, shows the data to behave quite differently than previous predictions (at clvl=slvl). In fact, it would almost assume that it scales separately for 51-60 synths only. This means that we'll have to find a correlation for each set, Heavensward and ARR.
The data taken above includes data taken from clvl 15, 55, 58, and 60. On the second page of the link above, it shows the data breakdown, and the linear regression statistics for all synths, for 51-60, and for the level 15 ones.
I'll update with more data as I get it, including the equations (which the equations are listed in the spreadsheet, but until I get something nailed down concretely, I don't want to hard chisel anything into stone.
Also, just for time's sake, using the data above (for only clvl >= 51), here is the linear regression data:
Code:SUMMARY OUTPUT For 51-60 Regression Statistics Multiple R 0.9996671876 R Square 0.999334486 Adjusted R Square 0.9993088894 Standard Error 3.456283801 Observations 28 ANOVA df SS MS F Significance F Regression 1 466386.3709 466386.3709 39041.55067 0 Residual 26 310.5933406 11.94589772 Total 27 466696.9643 Coefficients Standard Error t Stat P-value Lower 95% Upper 95% Lower 95% Upper 95% Intercept 30.41514084 1.1438887 26.58924844 0 28.06384397 32.76643772 28.06384397 32.76643772 X Variable 1 0.365202872 0.001848292302 197.5893486 0 0.3614036528 0.3690020912 0.3614036528 0.3690020912
Hey there kiddos,
So, after gathering even more data, and with the help of a few friends, we noticed that the trend looks more quadratic than linear. We have a new formula that seems to actually fit the model much nicer than before:
Do with it what you willCode:Base.Quality = round(( 0.00003311 * Control^2 + 0.335 * Control) +32.898) For all Control where Character.Level = Synthesis.Level, and Character.Level >= 51
Data is great and all, but do you have a craftsmanship formula for 60** items? Because that's the only hard to make (guaranteed HQ*) items in the game atm.
I should soon, hopefully by the weekend. With the help of Reddit and my FC, I'm taking the data and getting it digested properly so we can figure out trendlines at even synth level, and then extrapolate to the 60** HQ items
How much perception would i need to hit collectivity 530?
Best I can do atm is 507 with 571 perception
No one can really help you with that if you don't specify the level of the target item.
Fine, the item you need to buy the new tools
Exemple Chrysal Green for BTN weapon
If your Methodical Appraisals net at least 106 rarity, you should be able to reach 530 with Utmost Caution > Methodical > Utmost Caution > Methodical > Discerning Eye > Methodical > Discerning Eye > Methodical.
Pretty sure you can do hit the required values with no melds at all, but all the Lv60/59 HQ gear.
this gives me the highest for a single item
Utmost Caution >Impulsive Appraisal >Utmost Caution > Impulsive Appraisal > Utmost Caution > Instinctual Appraisal > Discerning Eye > Utmost Caution > Instinctual Appraisal
100% reliable: 1.0 + 1.0 + 1.5 + 1.5 = 5.0x
WORST: 0.9 + 0.9 + 0.8 + 1.2 = 3.8x
BEST: 0.9 + 1.45 + 2.25 + 2.25 = 6.85x
While your suggestion may have a higher BEST value, the WORST possible result is far too inferior. There's no point in getting a collectable of that value anyway, so I would suggest using the top option, which gets the required collectability 100% of the time. The only time anyone should ever bother with the latter option is if your perception is shit, or if they introduce new collectability requirements in the future.
