i use this but if your gear is melded you can replace Basic Touches (toward the end) for Standard, and you can use cheapo food to add in more Standards!

If I wanted to get wild and eat any food I would guarantee 100% rate, but it's a pain in the ass to sit there watching 100 synths, 200 if you do both arm/bsm same time. Just throw on a movie, gather mats, alt tab when you hear completion or when ever you feel lie hitting button again. Plus don't have to worry about eating so no reapplying part way.

I watch a movie too but manually do much of the button presses and end up with more HQ. Yes it takes more actual work but I never notice because I am watching a movie.

This one is a better rotation that uses less CP and the last Basic Touch gets a boost from Innovation and Ingenuity II

Took my first shots at 3* synths, stuff for Saurian healer gloves/feet and Gold Spectacles. Terminus Putty sucks to HQ, but I found that with all HQ mats the endproducts were extremely easy. Do people usually only use 1HQ/1NQ putty? Is it significantly riskier with 2NQ putty?

now a days i go with 1hq/1NQ since HQ puttys are pure gdamn RNG. I've made about 12 3star equips. NQ'ed 1 (it was the first one i ever attempted).

So someone on my server can seemingly craft to sb, but never actually finish crafting anything according to my log. What's their secret?

What I mean is they look like they are using the synthesis motion, but nothing is completed in the log, and yet they are finishing sb on gear like normal. Scratching my head over this. Their conversions show up in my log though.

I've never seen them use any ability. I always see the glowing "orb" disappear after synthesis, so I know they are finishing it somehow... or maybe not, which is why I'm trying to figure it out. Guy's name is arche koeln on sarg.

Well, you don't see the completed item from quick synthesis no matter what your filter settings are. Quick synth is a real method for spiritbonding because every success/failure still gives %.

Just an update on my status for desynth. I'm sure some of you guys are ahead of me.
as of 8:54 am est i am level 68.16 gsm getting .09-.14 on i55 gear. 74.5% success rate. I honestly feel like grinding i49 gear with 0.04 skill gains at 85% success is more time efficient.

Any idea if desynthing HQ/NQ makes a difference? Are you basically just creating the gear, then turning around and tearing it up?

Seems to be no difference between HQ and NQ.
There seems to be a "sweet spot" for exp just like everything else in this game that gives exp. Most likely its "green" % success.
There may be some sort of curve for experience earned and success rates, as the upper levels can give <.05% exp for 85% success rates while 60% success rate gives .15-.2x.

I've been trying to stay around 80-85% as well also just because I'm farming the demimateria.

I got close to 30 cul just by desynthing a stack of lobsters I bought off the NPC.
I thought I hit 100% success rate around the early twenties, and I basically gained 0.5 points per desynth.

I also bought a whole bunch of GP/CP rings off the accessories vendor for about ~150gil each. My GSM is around mid 20s after doing about 30 of these.

Anyone know of any other cheap vendor trash we can use for desynth?

Anyone have any idea where fieldcraft demimateria III are from? So far I've only gotten IIs from 55 gear, though admittedly I've only done a few. I'm very concerned that they might be from 70 gear... meaning desynthing artisan tools.

Also, still no idea where mastercraft are from.

im just assumign they follow the same rules of the materia already present. ilvl 45+ for T3s and chance @ T4 maybe?

but more RNG INSIDE RNG so even more rare.
