They don't, I've broken about 200 level 47 and 49 items and only gotten grade 1 from them. Broken a few level 55 items and got grade 2, but have not done nearly enough to rule out grade 3 from 55 gear.

Does it say you can even attempt to break down i70 DoH/L shit? Can you imagine the rage if you fail the desynth or if the demimateria wasn't 100%? Fuck.

At level 70 dGSM, I checked my artisan WVR tool, without actually breaking it. Had exactly 50% chance and, had I chosen to, it would have let me break it.

I'm strongly beginning to suspect it's 55+ for grade 2, 70+ for grade 3, and 90+ for mastercraft.

General QQ incoming, if so. That would make the new tools a massive undertaking.

I've heard some new node items (just the Hidden ones) have randomized position?

There are grade 3 fieldcrafts listed on Hyperion but I can't say I know where they would be from. Also yes you can definitely desynth artisan tools but I don't know the %'s.

Can't see desynth levels on lodestone either.

Your server is a lot more active than mine currently. No grade IIIs at all and definitely no mastercraft.

Maybe mastercrafts come from 3 star synths, since these ARE mastercraft items. They don't specify whether or not these are battle or fieldcraft, so I don't think it matters as long as you are desynthing a 3 star synth. Fieldcraft 3 star synths is where I worry though... if I have to break down i70 crafting stuff I'd quit the crafting game altogether.

Not really. Items that aren't gear will say (Desynthsizable: Yes). Items that are gear don't say shit. As far as I call i80 and under gear can be deysnthed tho, all of it.

Tested desynthing an Astrolabe as an ilvl 70 test. It gave me... 1x darksteel nugget. And that was it.

By the way, posted this in the main findings thread, but each materia melded to an item increases your success rate 5%. The grade or materia type does not matter.

Mastercrafts do indeed come from i70 DoH tools.Friend and I are currently 1/3 between the two of us.They aren't fucking around with their reqs for new tools

The one Hiryo mentioned is ours :3

Thanks for the info. That is slightly better than coming from ilvl 90 stuff in my book.

Any chance you've seen some Fieldcraft IIIs? I'm gonna guess chance from i55 stuff if i70 gives mastercraft.

Yeah, we've been crafting next to each other in mist for a good portion of time since 2.3 came out. Field IIIs don't come from i55. We've gotten a couple from two star furnishings. I could be wrong as i'm not 100% on the criteria needed for getting certain tiers, but I would say masters coming from i70 tools has more to do with it's relative difficulty of obtaining and not it's ilvl.

According to this post on the OF, your desynth skills go down even before you hit your 300 skill caps. He didn't mention what his skills are at though.

Oh, yes. Thought that was kind of common knowledge. If you leveled any Desynth above 1.00 it'll occasionally go down as you level another. I've never seen it go down by more than 0.01 though.

That would make sense regarding mastercraft demis. Also, I can confirm getting a grade 3 battlecraft from 2-star GSM desynths (finally).
