I got ixal hands and melded the offhand with 16/4/3.
You net positive on control and craftsmanship(needed to hit the 4star req) and lose out on 3 cp.
Edit: of course you can buy some artisan mitts and save the 10 oaknots too

Cannot believe that the hands are going to be a lesser difficulty, but enjoy this picture of when an excellent proc decides to peek it's nose >_>;
I nq'd 2 before this

Gonna rebuild my gil before I attempt the last two...
Do you have any idea what the stat caps are on those?
Ariyala has them; those gloves are capped. With 3 100% slots it's actually quite easy to meld, and even NQ can hit HQ caps (not for offhand, but for new leftsides).
Oh, sweet. Well that's good to know. What about melding the offhands? Any particular breakpoints you have to hit while melding it?
4star requirement is 451/407. Unless im mistaken, this can only be naturally achieved with full melds, and offhand with 15 craft and 4 control and at least 1 i60+ left side to make up for 3 more control (ixal gloves and artisan mitts both reach it but artisan mitts have more cp from melds)
Also, is it just me, or did they stealthbuff the cap on craftsmanship on the crafting AF boots/legs/hands? I could have sworn that it was 3 craftsmanship for the longest time.
And your full melds absolutely requires supra as well? Gross.
Anyone have a good rotation for 4 star stuff?
I've only experimented with one item but the 3 star rotation doesn't seem to be enough.
On the Ixal daily turn-in quest, what do the starred items signify? And do you get any bonus from turning in HQ?
It seems like I get the same quota points (the ones listed) no matter what item/quality I turn in.
Yes, works same as supply and provision mission for gc (star and hq mean each x2)
But for GC turn in, you get double seals for star or HQ. For Ixal, apparently you get nothing (except maybe exp?).
The star doubles the total exp you get, after HQ bonus, for Ixal quests. It does nothing beyond that.
So, having an issue with desynthing. Only have GSM to 100 and was trying to get WVR up to 100 as well. Haven't even hit 33 on WVR yet and I've already lost .6 on GSM. What do I have to do to fix/lock that? Didn't think that I would be losing skill until I tried doing a 3rd craft up that high.
Have to desynth something GSM every...3? (I think) desynths to keep it from de-lvling.
ie. WVR desynth x3 -> GSM desynth x1 -> WVR x3 -> GSM x1 -> etc.
Basically using the skill will prevent it from de-lvling for a certain number of desynths of other crafts.
Not sure on how many de-synths a skill will stay "locked" after use, I'm sure someone can correct me on that.
Your example is right. Using a desynth (successfully) locks it for the next 3 desynths. Failures don't count, successes that have no chance of gaining skill do count.
https://xivdb.com/?item/9236/Tremor-Cleavers are these in the New books? (i haven't bothered getting them yet just curious)
They are in the old ones
Ugh, NQ'd a Artisan wheel and just used it...fuck it/ Melded 10 control on it so I can 4 star with just the fc buff now. The actual 4 star crafts are piss easy to make, just getting the items is a pain right now.
