It's above the 1-9 10-19 etc list. It is annoying when I start a synth to do in mass and defaults to another, just have to click back on what I was doing to keep it there for spamming confirm key.

Got my LTW Supra and Master II book last night. I managed to get the first 2 HQ items done fairly easily, but I must've spent at least an hour trying to get the 3rd one... @_@ I'll be glad once all this shit's finally done.
It's an abusive relationship every time you try for the 3 HQ. Sometimes you just gotta take it and tell your girlfriends how horrible it is.
Coming back, had current gear in 2.2, what do I need to know?
Seems like there is now universal "Artisan" gear for body/gloves/legs/feet?
And an artisan off-hand?
And artisan weapons became supra weapons? What am I missing?
Is that correct?
1) There's no artisan body (or if there is, it's called something else, I haven't upgraded to artisan gear yet)
2) Supra tools are entirely separate from artisan, you could skip the artisan step in theory
The rest sounds correct.
I'm surprised at the number of people who either saved up or bought gil to jump into 4-star crafting on my server. There are so many 4-star crafters now compared to 2.2's 3-star crafters at the same time post patch. As a result the market is flooded for most items. This even includes artisan offhands with so many NQs it's tempting for me to buy them up and desynth. Not sure how people NQ them so often being that they're a 3-star synth. Unfortunately, the market will stay this way until SE decides to boost ehcatl sealants and allagan mat drops. Mat cost for a lot of these items is out of reach for most players.
Anyone that bought gil to star into 4 star crafting... sure did waste a ton of money, then again when aren't people wasting money buying ant gil, as easy as it is to get.
6 (NQ) Ehcatl Sealant make the initial quality something like 800/5800, which means you are pretty reliant on RNGesus to get HQ; get a bunch of Hasty Touch fails or no Good procs and you're either rolling the dice on a Reclaim or you're president of Club Normal Quality. It's not too dissimilar from crafting Terminus Putty.
I'm sure there are a couple per server that did it. It's strange seeing some people with 4-star crafts that have no idea how to make money.Originally Posted by Gulkeeva
It's about 700/4983. Hardly any worse than HQing 3-star mats in my opinion, which isn't difficult. If you have a bad string of hastys then you might as well reclaim. NQs hardly sell, at least on my server, so if you don't HQ it's pretty much a loss regardless.
CRP WVR already done, did LTW and ARM today. BSM is giving me such headache. 4 NQs (one being 84%), 3 reclaim fails and no HQs to show for it.
e: 5th NQ and 1 more reclaim fail before the 3 HQs. Glad to be semi-done with this token crap for now.
I NQed my chef knife at 98%. Fuck RNG.
Uhh, why are you getting up to 40 steps? That seems to be way to much. There are only two quality increasing moves (Master Mend II. Waste Not), and an optional Waste Not. (Keep in mind it is Waste Not I not Waste Not II)
Try it a few times without the hi CP option, just do 9 Hastys -> MM II -> 3 PbP -> BB Fish -> 3 CS2 just to get the hang of the rotation. The hi CP option is there because burning CP on basic touch is inefficient.
To do the hi CP option you need a very high about of Tricks of the Trade. (About 5 before you use master mend II). So if you run out of CP often, you probably don't have enough CP.
Always use ToT when you have a good (the exception is if you have already used it once during a Waste not, and if you are BB fishing). This rotation requires a few ToT to complete. I estimate ToT procs to be around 20% so you should have more than enough to finish the craft with 88 CP at the final.
Also keep in mind that there are many different options for the BB fish part, 88CP/106CP are viable start points.
With 4* Crafting stats HQ rates should be around (this is by feel)
Artisan Tools (HQ mats) ~90% HQ rate (make sure you are using the PBP ->IngII->CsIIx4 rotation. You need 416 Craftmanship for this.
I haven't done much tests on it but if you have ~450 craftsmanship you can do PBP-PBP-RS-SS
4* (0 quality start) ~60% HQ rate. Can be increased if you have more than 451 craftmanship
4* (1250 quality start) ~ 85% HQ rate. Probably can be increased with more than 451 craftmanship
4* (2000 quality start) ~ 95% HQ rate.
IG2 is a complete waste of 32CP on 4star.
That depends on how many synthesis you want to have to do complete the synth. I find it very useful for myself when doing 4-stars.
Are you hitting 100% on quality bar reliably (including starting from 0 quality)? If so then fine. If not, my point stands.
With what kind of rotation? Or is this a case of me struggling because I don't have supra for any of my 4 star crafts and thus need to use craftsmanship food (shark fin soup) and control FC buff to even do 4 stars? With NQ materials on things like Kirimu Leather I was getting like 25% HQ unless I got an excellent.
you'll need supra and HQ offhand and melded out the ass, so you can use CP food, otherwise you won't have a chance unless something short of a once in a lifetime miracle happens.
