Awesome, thanks.
Awesome, thanks.
Don't you have like 4-5 Control in terms of leeway between the 407 minimum and the possible maximum with current gear availible now? I can't really see the forthcoming Body slot Artisan's as being a step backwards in terms of Control from the AF either. I mean if you have the Control IVs around, go for it I guess, otherwise it doesn't seem like the biggest priority.
The thing about Control is that, unlike Craftsmanship, it always helps. (unless you reach 100% HQ every time)
Extra CRF only helps if it's enough to allow you to use cheaper or fewer actions to hit your progress total, but extra CTL always increases your quality on those non-100% dicerolls. Going from 84% to 88% HQ or 92% to 98% HQ is worth it.
Things to take notice of so far:
New Disciple of Hand/Land Lucis tools
New Desynth level of 110 with a combined skill level of 350
HQ Redolent logs and Antumbral ore
Other things:
Upon completing the quest "Just Tooling Around," players can inquire about master crafting tomes and tools by speaking with Guiding Star in Mor Dhona at Revenant’s Toll (X:22 Y:6)
Additional rewards have been added to the following Ixal daily quests:
West for Fishing / Your Gil's No Good Here / Mining for Compliments / A High Wind in Ishgard / Bring Your Own Ectoplasm / In Case of Emergency / We Fly High (Squawkin') / Deliverance
You forget the best part:
Skill levels will no longer decrease if your combined skill level is not at the maximum.
Another interesting bit: housing wards are now market wards:
---
Retainers can now be placed on estate grounds outside the hall.
An expansion of duties permit is required to place a retainer on your estate grounds outside the hall. These permits can be purchased from independent sutlers in any residential district.
One, two, or three retainers can be placed on small, medium, and large estates respectively.
Once a retainer is placed on estate grounds, items that they currently have listed for sale on the market can be purchased by anyone who speaks with them. The retainer's sales history (up to 20 entries) can also be viewed by other players.
Placing retainers on estate grounds does not impact your ability to summon them via summoning bells to deposit and withdraw items, or to assign retainer ventures.
---
Interesting. I wonder if this will allow us to dodge the market board's listing fee if an item is purchased via the estate retainer(s). Although, I'm not sure I like the idea making my retainer's sale history visible.
By the way, is there anyway we can update the OP with a best in slot for gear and how to obtain/meld?
Could have gear&melds, FFXIV Clock information, (more) useful links, maybe even beast tribe vendor lists? :x
Did not expect the tome/token system for gathers/crafters already but.. I KNEW IT... the main hand had to be replaced, its been around awhile
Now.. to wonder if I should work on an i80 fishing rod... or hope the new gears boost my stats enough to do whatever for the new items...
and then of course, who all is going to bother doing dailies... to get those.. tomes/tokens
(think its the new reward from ixtal dailies or unlisted quests...?)
What I really need is something to do with the stacks of Rosewood lumber I have. All CRP leves use mahogony!
What are you doing leves for...!
I'm saving my 100... for 3.0 yeaaahhh >.>
anyway, I'm glad I eventually finished all my.. hundreds of sealants to gear up everything. I still wonder if i should save my current sealants for possibly gear using it in 2.5.. or expect the possibility they are giving more sealants from the daily effectively lowering the prices...

I'm still making my off tools fuckkkkkkkk. why bring out more new tools![]()
I am so fucking sick of Ixali quests.
4 Supras to go, at least all my goddamn offhands are in order but damn.
what...!
I only been crafting my OH tools from ixtal dailies and done months ago, someones been missing their dailies!
although considering you can easily 100% 4star stuff with all NQ items (with some effort and a hell of a lot of steps) >.>
the new stuff is just going to make it even easier to flood the market with 4 star stuff... as yoshi p said in fanfest i think.. current 4star crafts are the "cap" of difficulty...
new tools AND gear, its probably going to make 3 star cratfs 2 buttonable, and 4 stars actually macroable... maybe (well 4 star is marcroable but its big, and you'll probably fuck yourself over doing it that way anyway) >.>
40 mastercraft, 90 field 3, 180ish (at the moment) oak nots, 28m, and gonna be bored as fuck after the first week... bring it on :D

Speaking of books, i probably should sit and do the alchemy book for masters... I bet SE will actually add something useful/essential like the terminus putty days... >.>
I saved up a lot also, but I feel that it may be useless... because SE mentions adding tomes gear. Big question is... how are tomes acquired , and what effort will it take.
is the tomes gear better then artistan? Maybe not medlable i70?
is the gear weaker then artistan? (but currently crappy crafted is i55, and artistan 60...)
then again the vendor gear could be not meldable i60 gear...
/insert crazy idea
They've adjusted ilvls on gear before, could they possibly boost ilvls on artistan gear to 70, and have vendors give not medlable i70 (or i60?)
I have a feeling we might need the tomes for those new mainhands. Maybe some i60 - i70 accessories. Who knows.
yeah I'm thinking/hoping...
the tome gear, is tokens from ixtal daily to help "gear" upcoming crafters with not meldable gear (like i60 no meld socket gears)
This would help those struggling with crafting/no gil to dump millions(or days) got a slightly better chance at crafting stuff thats high lvl. Where as master crafted... crafting still will still be there for the hardcore.
I jsut hope my guess is correct, and the craft market of master materia and sealents don't tank from new gear from tomes being OP effectivaly destroying the market of those 2 items >.>
Patch notes did mention lolalc makes the new energy thing for housing buffs
