Why do you have three DoW retainers?

I send my DoL retainers on shards damn near 100% of the time now. It is a money tree, and I find it difficult to waste ventures on my DoW retainer.

I have 3 characters with 4 retainers @50 :S

1. DoW x3 / Fisher
2. Miner x4
3. Bot x4

I send retainers 2 / 3 out for Crystals / Shards constantly. Retainer 1 I send out for random mats, quick ventures for rare dyes, or if I'm after minions from the 18h ones.

Also, suggestions on desynth skillups 25-80 for GSM and 0-80 for WVR would be welcome.

1-40, buy whatever cheap gear at various outpost NPCs. 40-70 aged shit. 70-80, dungeon gear or cough up the money to do i70 crafted. 80+ perfect items.

If you're able, I would strongly suggest doing Artisan Needles over the glasses, now that number of items needed for the tools is so low.

Can only get 1 MC per glasses but tools can give up to 3.

Artisan Needle is 8x silver brocade instead of 10 x spirits of salt. So you are saying that the extra shard cost:

of Silver brocade (6 wind crystals for 2 twinthread, 2 wind shards for silver ingots, 11 lighting shards and 10 wind shards for the actual brocade synth) compared to (11 water shards, 10 lightning shards for the spirits of salt) is worth the price

because the potential of getting 3 MC on a desynth outweighs the cost? Also silver brocade requires the 3 additional sub-synths worth of time.

Artisan's Needle is still GSM de-synth? The other needles all are.

and Fieldcraft demimateria III come from tools too?

Yes you can get Fieldcraft Demi III from the tools I've gotten plenty when attempting to get MCD.

I think Aetheryte Rings can be used at that level, I could be horribly wrong tho it's been some time since I leveled up mine, all I can remember is those and long hours farming garuda, titan and ifrit ex.

edit; can do Aetheryte Rings and get some skill ups along the way, use the FC2 to make thickrimmed glasses which will also give you FC3 and will provide a few decent skillups along the way.

If that doesn't appeal to you and you have a fair amount of gil to burn do rimless glasses, but keep in mind that Garlean Steel Joints are likely 7-12k+/ea, or at least that's what I normally see them at on my server.

You need 20 spirits of salt for the ALC tool.

Idk which is more worthwhile for you personally, I just suggested Artisan's Needle because they're dGSM and you were asking about desynthing the glasses (also dGSM).

Can sit and desynth the artistan glasses(i70) till about 75ish skill, and then struggle through desynthing allagan(i90) drops spamming T4.... or!

Spam dungeons (like tam tara deepcroft HM for I80 and hope you win drops to make it easier to lvl desynth toward 80
or...!

If you want a crapload of i90 gsm items that are semi costly... (you might get anywhere from 10-25ish? attempts) buy a 99 stack of aged rings(i55) desynth them for their aged fire eye and then craft the i90 furnace ring in mass.

bel whatever silver tends to run about 1K or less, and the basilisk thing is cheap...

the most profit can be made going the T4 route (especially if you got weaver/leatherworker)
slow as shit route is spamming dungeons for I80 gear
and the give no fucks, has lots of gil route and possibly the fastest is spam furnace rings or buy cheap ones off AH, although its hell of a lot cheaper to craft the things usually.

I think *technically* they can, but it is really slow once you get around 94-95. I moved to Hero's Accessories around 90ish since Spectacles were only yielding .01-.02 skill ups per desynth. I can't speak on Artisan Needles, they nerfed the turnins after I had already capped but I imagine they are in the same skill curve as the glasses.

You can desynth the... "aged" items (I55) till around desynth 55-60ish, and then buy the i70 weaver/leatherworker gear from the uldah wedding like gear vender across from the grandcompany guys and desynth till like 70-75ish.

Then jump to i90ish stuff via t4spam/perfect cloth/perfect whatever leather

Then the new instances to go into the 100->110 ranges!

That stuffs i70, it'll be most likely under 0.10 skillup by the time it gets toward the 80's or 90's. (its 100% desynth chance/0 skillup at 100 skill)

Yeah both Leather and Weaver are 90+ already - GSM hit's a slower point in the 70s because we're not spamming Darklight/high level dropping dungeons and CT doesn't drop accessories.

As mentioned in my post, you can do the new instances for their i100 accessories which can creep you along into 110 level (they have a decent drop rate as is for stuff)... or you can spend potentially hundreds of thousands crafting and desynthing i110 accessories/gear. namely the platinum circlets, which is probably the cheapest i110 gsm item (those 3X platinum ingots can add up in price though).

Unless of course.. you farm all the mats yourself, and buy the raziq...stuff! (need 27 of those per synth) probably need about 30-40 circlets to go 100->110...?
