Don't know what you mean by this, there's no way to spam darklight unless you're running low tier dungeons all day and hoping to win drops of the appropriate craft.

GSM is still the easiest anyway, almost all accessories are GSM while the left side is divided up between ARM/LTW/WVR/and sometimes also GSM.

Only non-GSM accessories of note (see: high level) I can think of off-hand are some PvP pieces (moot point, just don't buy them), some of the i70 crafted pieces (likewise), and moogle ribbons (WVR).

And GSM is probably still the easiest anyway, virtually all right-side gear is GSM while left side is divided up between ARM/LTW/WVR/and sometimes also GSM.
Spam brayflox -> rush instance -> hope no one notices you sit behind after clearing instance to go back and grab the 2 chests with items that hopefully no one got earlier.

One on top the... tower? in the goblin like area, and one to the left after the 2nd boss. Both have gsm items!

30-40 isn't bad. That includes resynthing the mats you get back? I just did 100 rings to get from 70-75.

I'm taking a guess of the possibility of .25 to .5 skillups per desynth, and several explosions. I'm doing the dungeon run route myself to make gil in the process as I lvl it

I had never desynthed the relic quest items before, but I gotta say wtf?

    i90 item gives fieldcraft II?

I do declare that's some bullshit.

edit: nvm, it can give IIIs as well (●´―`●)

This question pertains to mining leves in particular, but i suppose it also pertains to crafting classes as well: is there a way to change the leve rewards now other than completing leves?

according to the patch notes from latest update, "Abandoning a levequest after completing it at least once will refresh the available rewards."

yet i completed a leve, earning the checkmark that shows i've completed it before. then when i got it again, and it didn't have any magicked oilcloth like i wanted, i abandoned it, reobtained the leve... and it had the exact same rewards... as did the next dozen attempts i tried to "refresh" the rewards by abandoning. Am I doing something wrong here? I don't want to complete dud leves just to reset rewards, because gdi its annoying having to spend several minutes on a leve for a venture or 18 shards.

Was that patch note pertaining to the triple turn-in leves only then? That was what I thought when I read it anyways.

@GSM desynth: if you have Antique hat/hands lying around you can trade those in for Valor Coronet/Bard's Ringbands for skillups too.

^This. It means you don't have to do all 3 turn ins to cycle the leve. To OP, you have to do a leve to cycle them.

OOC, what's the most efficient way to complete progress on a 4 star with 462 craftsmanship? I'm doing PBP > Standard Synthesis > Rapid > Rapid > Careful 2. Just curious if there was something more CP/step efficient. I'm aware you can do PBPx2 > RSx2, but I'm not about to rely on RS to finish a synth.

5 steps is pretty much the standard until you break 500ish craft, unless you want finish with a rapid

PbP>rapidx2>cs2x2 same as 453 craft is an option

    with 468 craft you could do pbpx2 > cs2x4

and with 512 craft you could do pbp > rapidx2 > standard synth (this one is attainable with max craft melds and fc buff, 513 is cap without food)

    For 462 craft I do PBP> PBP> RS > CSII > CSII.
With my rotation, it allows me to do 1 CSII before the first MMII in order to get to that 20 Durability(If I did extra Tricks, I'll do a raw hasty if necessary). Then I can just spam Hasty all the way to 20 Dura, hit BB then CSII to finish the craft.

This is probably the best approach; who the fuck adds another RS to the mix. The two CS2s give you a chance to fish a Good/Excellent to finish Quality with too, which is real fucking neato if things work out that way.

Both the ones posted by Bikpik and Hiryo are better than what I currently use lol. Thanks.

I was messing around with different rotations and PBP> PBP> RS > CSII > CSII was coming up one progress short of completing because I'm an idiot and was putting 452 crafts into the simulator instead of 462.

Was that ever fixed? Even 462 kept showing up as being 1 progress short as far back as when 2.5 dropped.. and it's incorrect.

At what level will I start to see fieldcraft and mastercraft demimateria from artisan spectacles? I'm currently 75 gsm desynth. 80? 90?

I want to swap to artisan needles as soon as I can start to see them, but while I'm seeking skillups I want to use the cheaper item (4 vs. 8 silver brocade).

Pretty sure your skill level only affects the success rate. What items you get from an item should be based solely upon the item itself.

The chance is there every time you successfully desynth. I got a couple early on. They're just not that common.

and you def don't wanna desynth em at like 75-85ish because I mean.. you'd get skill ups yeah but there's other stuff you could get that aren't as much of apain to make unless you just have the mats laying around.

Unfortunately they seem to be the cheapest/most available item to me. I really can't figure out what else to do to skill up on.

edit: Also what is the consensus on off-hand melds? I was just gifted a HQ weaver off-hand and don't know what to meld.
