Pretty tame event for what I expected, from a Launch Party, at least on Saturday. Dev comments for 20ish minutes, fight Titan Hard mode, really tiny autograph session (75 people) and a raffle, all for a 9 hour event. Even the swag was pretty crappy.

Yoshida: The reason we haven’t been talking about it is because we’ve been working on it. When we stop talking about something, it’s probably because we’re busy working on it. I talk way too much, and the devs hate me for that.

Right now we’re in the planning stages for it. We have to have three things completed before we can start and open the Gold Saucer. They could be a mini game, maybe a card game, maybe a snowboarding game . We can’t say which, but there has to be three to open it. Right now on the current schedule we’re thinking it will be after 2.3.

So I enjoyed PAX today, even if it's the first time I was only there for one day. Got a buncha swag as lots of booth just wanted to empty out their wares. Bought some nifty things, got a nice purple shirt with a Chocobo coat of arms and pin. Was a bit sour I couldn't go to the launch party, and I let the SE booth know. They gave me the giant XIV bag then I wandered for awhile. Joined up with a buddy and we went to the SE booth to see if we could get him a bag too and there's this seating area with a big screen playing a trailer for all upcoming big SE titles and standing at the back...wait..is that.... O________O

Funny thing was Yoshi P was really into being with the fans. For example, when I went to fight Titan for the shirt, Yoshi P sat at the BLM computer two chairs away from me. Apparently their team had 7 members so he stepped in to be the 8th.

Know a guy who did; known him for a long time, from FFXI and real life now. If the line wasn't hours long, even at opening Saturday, I might have tried the fight, but I had other things to get to.
