Son, this has everything to do with the FGC. They are MARKETING this shit to the FGC, if you didn't know. I think it's awesome that '09 sparked a renewed interest in the fighting game scene and fighting games in general. It's awesome. However now, in 2013, the market is being flooded with the shittiest of games, trying to corner every retarded market out there.

There are tons of shitty quality games on the market right now. Boggles my mind, really.

Not trying to crush your moment here but I could go back and make the same argument about what happened after 3S and MvC2 and blame the OG players for the 2000s dark ages, lol. This happens in every genre every decade, look how many shitty God of War clones have come out in the last 10.

Besides, we always need more games to add to the Mystery Game rotations.

Veteran producer Microprose and developer Kung Fu Factory announced today that Girl Fight, an arcade-style 3D fighting game featuring a cast of fierce femme fatales, is available now on the PlayStation Network and will be available on Xbox Live online entertainment network from Microsoft tomorrow, September 25th. The game will be available for a suggested retail price of $9.99 on both platforms.

Published by Majesco Entertainment, Girl Fight brings an array of sexy fighters to gamers’ consoles. Players will help the stunning and lethal women battle their way out of The Foundation, a shadowy science organization looking to weaponize the psionic fighting abilities – Psi Powers - of the all-female cast. With no moral or ethical compass and unlimited funding, The Foundation collects its test subjects from all around the world, often abducting and plugging women into their virtual construct known as The Mainframe. To return to reality, the women must utilize their fighting and psionic abilities in an all-out battle for survival.

Girl Fight features

• Fighting Styles and Character Options - Players can choose from a wide range of distinct fighters, each with her own fighting style, and select their own experience by customizing their fighter’s appearance and abilities.

• Unlockables - Players will find a solid set of unlockables to further customize their characters by proving themselves as the ultimate femme fatale in the ring. Points can unlock new character skins, more varied abilities and background story entries.

• Arenas - Girl Fight takes players across a virtual globe in many different arenas, filled in by augmented reality constructs. From war-ravaged San Francisco to the rubble of demolished Foundry buildings, the line between reality and fiction become blurred in these virtual battle zones.

It's hard to overstate how bad this game actually is once you start playing it, lol. There's times where I believe the game just drops frames entirely, noticeable lag spikes offline as you're dicking around in training mode. Graphics look like an extremely early PS3 game, music is pretty generic unce unce stuff. 6-button game with 4 main buttons, punch/kick/throw/guard, works somewhat like Soul Calibur. The 5th and 6th buttons are for two special abilities that you select from a list of possibilities, 3 or 4 to start but I think you can unlock more. Build up meter, then spend meter by activating the ability, stuff like 10s of 25% defense increase or HP absorption on your hits.

Still the character designs and names are so incredibly generic and fan service-ish that this will make a pretty solid Mystery Game title in a year or so.
