New 1.35 GB patch to download

Interestingly, I am a 1.0 player who has been playing beta and such, but not a Legacy player. I have purchased the new PS3 version and was going to use that for my early access. While I attempted to do the PC update mentioned here, it told me that I don't have early access. I went to my PS3 and completed linking my Playstation account to my Square enix account for early access and started the update there.

I just went back to my PC and logged on again and started the update that failed just moments ago with no issues.

Ugh, keeps telling me no valid or active service for the PC. SE Member account and PSN account linked. PS3 client downloaded and up to date. Wonder what I'm doing wrong.

Got my patch done by copy and pasting the files from my brother's computer which got the patch without issue.

Can we expect another DL before servers go live? Game folder is pretty small imo, was expecting another 5GB or so.

Why another 5gb? The files we downloaded last week for P4 contained the whole game in its entirety. Today was a patch as expected. Larger than I would have thought, TBH.

People need to realize that when a game says the requirements needed are 20gb of disk space, it also includes room for patches etc. Not that the initial game will be 20 gigs, especially for mmos.

The PS3 update for today was indeed just 750mb if you got more it's probably because you didn't updated it before P4

Still, 9 Gigs is a pretty small client compared to any MMO released in the last few years. Hell TERA was around 30 gigs and GW2 around 20.

It just doesn't feel finalized and i keep expecting the entire download to be released soon.

No other reason than 15gb for an mmo seems about right. Just how I feel, no rhyme or reason behind it.

Pretty sure they didn't get everything they wanted into release, such as Crystal Tower and such, which will drive up the disk space. Also, I always felt TERA and GW2 were bloated in their asset compression.
