I logged in and out twice within a few minutes. First time I got right in, 2nd time I got immediately placed 8th in queue but then got in without incident.

Edit: I just felt like giving it another test before I left for work. So My last log out as about 5 minutes ago, I come back and I can't get in bc its still reflecting me as logged in (error 3102).

Checked before I went into work this morning. First try on Excal and got in with no queue. That said not logging out because I doubt the issues will still be completely fixed.

They said in their post update notice that to cope with all 230k people trying to login at once they are throttling login for a very short time

If I don't see something soon about allowing people to change servers now, I guess I am going to have to join the whining thread.

just logged in to make a character on my wifes server since mine was locked by the time she created, got in the game and did the opening cut scene, went back to my main character and getting 3102'd now

It takes a few minutes. I was able to get in after my initial 3102.

They originally said server transfers would be implemented in mid September. Since they haven't said anything about changing that, I wouldn't expect then to announce anything for another week.

I suspect that they'll offer transfers from the highest population servers to the lowest for free the first time in an effort to balance the load, but only because it makes sense.

Is there really only 230k players? Or is that just on the NA/EU data center?

Well there were over 1 mill characters as of 8/26 (I think), but the 230k are simultaneous connections not every single player trying to log in at once.

I've got the 3102 error currently that everyone was getting in phase 4. The one that says your character is still logged in.

Only I haven't logged in since yesterday. >.>

Never said it wasn't lol. SE is throttling the logins initially (as they've said million times now), while the queue system is implemented but not active (because of the manual throttling).

Now that the facts are right, carry on.

Yes they've said they're restricting logins, but did they ever say queues are turned off because of this?

The fact is that the instance servers are the cause of the restricted access to the worlds. The worlds can handle more people, the instance servers can not.

They were restricting logins before, they are still doing so today (causing 1017). Queue system has been in place ever since beta.

My 3102 is gone and I was able to log in. So sounds like they're fixing things as the day goes on.

This isn't a normal restriction as has been said countless times. The worlds aren't full - the instance servers simply can't handle all worlds in full capacity. There is no queue system for the instance servers, so SE has to do this manually by not allowing logins, even though there is room in the world.

This is why they only added a couple new worlds. The current ones are still underutilized.

I've not seen an official statement saying any of that. Still waiting on a source.
