Again, considering BRD BIS is mostly Mytho, this makes no sense. RNG shouldn't handicap your BRDs unless they are spending their Myth on other jobs. BRD just isn't as "OP" as people thought in endgame shit, especially when they actually do have to sing on some things.

An upgrade is an upgrade. I don't really care if it's BiS or not. Gonna take another couple of weeks for me to get BiS anyway, so what's wrong about having another good piece until then? It's sure as hell better than DL.

BRD does have a lower damage ceiling compared to the other classes. The gains from gear are definitely less than other classes experience, and the macros you mentioned do not help the public eye's view of the class. zomgezmode1buttonclass.

I still believe that BRD can do decent DPS, but as you reach endgame it does feel like a shadow of its former self. I believe that this is either due to the fact that during the leveling period, other classes take longer to hit their stride, or you're exposed to more bads at lower levels. At the end of the day though, we are a utility class and I feel that we do a good job of that when necessary.

I don't feel like a nerf is required, even on the moving whilst attacking front. The MMO's i've played have had moving whilst attacking with no penalty for archer based classes.

you said "average gear" like your BRD are using Mytho on something else and relying on allagan drops. By now most main BRDs should be nearly done with mythos gear, which I wouldn't consider "averagely geared".

"Average" was meant as "too much ilvl 70 compared to the rest of the group" (and for my own taste). I'm not gonna use Allagan pieces for which I already have AF+1 counterparts. But those for which I dont, would be a nice bonus. That's all.

For Legacy players, perhaps. Particularly so if they benefited from the 2 early maints that reset the mytho cap. Not that likely for non-legacy players, though.

Personally I had the chance to do my first AK by the end of the 2nd week after release (right before the maint targeting the original speedrunning strat), so I only started getting to the weekly cap on the 3rd week and I'm basically at the same upgrade point that Ksandra is (have ring/hands/legs/body/belt, need ears/head/+1 and perhaps others depending on how coil goes).

That's still at least 1770 mythos to go (6 weeks).

I'm not legacy either and have about the same amount to go(Pants on Monday, Belt/Ears next two weeks, then save for Bow), I would consider 3-4 weeks close to done in mmo terms(not counting the bow). I still would not consider myself, "averagely" geared, with 3ish AF2 pieces and Bow to go. It's not PERFECT gear, but it's pretty good imo.

The armor in the live letter isn't supposed to be until at least 2.2 iirc, so it'll probably be higher than ilvl90.

As for the ilvl90 artifact gear: I usually call it "af90". Sometimes I call it "relic" by force of habit and if I want to include the "hero's" equipment I'll call it "mytho".

Would a penta-melded Gryphonskin Wristband be worth making if I already have the Allagan bracelets or is the extra +4 DEX really that more useful?

Question! Where are people getting this 12crit=2dex thing from? I don't remember valks formula coming to this conclusion for crit rating being that strong in a low amount.

It's all guesswork. I'm not sure what post you're fixated on, but I've seen several different evaluations of X crit == Y DEX

That number is directly from valk's formulas. If we had exact formulas instead of guesstimates we could make more educated conclusions though.
