To address your specific point, "damage -10%" is not an ability being removed (even if you removed one of the traits, it makes very little sense to transfer it to another job, which is the stated plan) and removing irrelevant Shadowbind would have zero impact. Furthermore, "too much damage" is not "a very important role that is concentrated to bard," nor can it be "recovered by the additional actions that can be performed."

Blunt Arrow is the only candidate that meets all the criteria:

- 1 ability that can be transferred
- very important role
- minimal impact on DPS that can be compensated by doing something else instead (e.g. damage is added to Shadowbind, or BRD is given something like off-GCD Feint)

You don't get to call RoD/Storm's Path changes after this and you made way more posts that were completely wrong and completely silly before conceding the possibility of the RoD/Storm's Path tweaks.

I said that Blunt Arrow met the criteria (which didn't end up mattering because the criteria were inaccurate anyway).
I asked what other ability would meet the criteria.
Someone else suggested RoD transfer.
I agreed it was a possibility and even explained why it was a reasonable answer.

It's a massive loss in the Accuracy though, and you need Allagan Pants from T5 to use it for T4/5, possibly all of coil. Not sure if Elfin+Allagan Pants beats out Allagan Bow+Bard Tights or not though. It will definitely make me do some math and see what I can use it for and if I should grab it.

Definitely be interesting to see the math. Allagan is +1 dmg n +3 or 4 dex tho. Won't that alone trump it?

and +39 lolSkill Speed vs 27 Crit, 1Det I think(with AllaPants over BRD Pants), so Allagan is probably better but still.

It's definitely better then Zenith though, if you have the Acc to use it.

Vortex ring: dex 13, crit 11, skill speed 11

Finally a good ilvl90 ring for the second slot. The inferno bangle is pretty awesome too with 13 dex, 11 det and 11 crit.

So with the new gear I'm debating this as a new BiS list.

This would put me at 490dex, 397vit, 471acc, 602crit, 270det, 350skill. If 471acc isn't capped, and you can't stand missing that <1% of attacks or less, you could switch our bard's head for allagan for +6acc -6crit.

edit: Blah, forgot that allagan weapon got buffed. I'll make a possible BiS list using that and see how it compares.

edit2: This set using allagan weapon would be 497dex, 393vit, 471acc, 557crit, 261det, 391skill. This would probably end up being more raw damage, but definitely not far ahead. You'd have more LB damage due to the +1 dmg as well... but you'd be 45 crit rate behind in other set which should make a difference on bloodletter resets as well. It does also have 41 more skill speed though.

Thing is, if you're in a position to get Allagan pants you're about as likely to get the bow which means you don't need the pants. I can see them working out if you happen to have them but I don't think it makes a lot of sense to have them in a BiS list.

I think the point is that the Allagan pants drop from Turn 5, same as the bow. If you're in a position to obtain those, you might as well get the Allagan Bow, making the other setup obsolete due to the massive ACC-overkill you'd subject yourself to once you obtain the Allagan Bow.

In essence, the setup named above is a very temporary solution you could make use of in case you clear Turn 5, get the pants, then wait for the Allagan Bow to drop.

Of course, this all boils down to whether the Elfin Bow is worse than the Allagan Bow or not.

Except Allagan Ring is also a turn 5 drop. Getting one turn 5 drop (pants) is technically more likely than getting two turn 5 drops (weapon+ring). And then the second set still isn't even undeniably better than the first?

It's a best in slot list, not a gear that's really good but still also easily obtainable list.

Maybe I should stop calling stuff best in slot, because that concept doesn't translate correctly to a game with options. It's a best gearset or something.
