Also has a wider radius than Wide Volley, making "Wide Volley" a bit of a misnomer.All things being equal I've preferred Quick Nock since in a case like Garuda plumes I usually have a better angle at hitting multiple targets.

Is Elfin Bow really worth it for a group who still hasn't defeated Twintania? From what I can see, the lack of accuracy will hurt too much to consider getting it over NQ Relic/Titan bow.
Really depends on what gear you already have. For me, using Elfin bow with my current setup puts me at 252 accuracy, which means I can cap with cabbage. If/when I get Allagan boots from T4 though it will be impossible to cap but since I can't predict that drop I use what's best right now. Elfin bow is also i90 so you ought to be comparing it to Zenith which is our only other i90 option.
Additionally, since Vortex Ring and Inferno Bangles are arguably BiS items you're going to end up clearing EX primals anyway (probably more than once) so you might as well pick up the bow.
My gearset currently is something like this:
Titan Bow/NQ Relic
AF2 Head
AF2 Body
AF2 Hands
Hero's Belt
AF2 Legs
DL Feet
Imp. Op. Necklace with Acc and Vit melds
Hero's Earrings
Allagan Wrists
Hero's Ring/DL Ring
Which puts me right at the acc cap with Deviled Eggs.
The only way I can see I can reach the acc cap with Elfin bow and without T5 drops is if I swap out a few pieces for the crafted ilvl70 pieces, which is the point of my question: Is it worth it? Or should I give up and just upgrade the damned relic.
They upped the ilevel of the Mog, Crag and Allagan weapons in 2.1 (to 75/80/95 respectively). For some this made Crags weapons slightly worse than NQ Relics but for bow you're trading lolskillspeed for determination so if you don't plan on dropping the 900 myths you get to strap a table on your back for now.
Slightly worse? Isn't it slightly better?
I think Titan weapon is slightly better for every job except like DRG (where it's a tossup between crit and det) and BLM (where it gives an accuracy option but is also 1-handed).
Right, the Crag weapon is either slightly worse or slightly better depending on the class (thus the "some"), for Bard there's really not much discussion to be had against Crag being better since lolskillspeed.
I was doing some dot testing and decided to set up some more crit testing since I was at the dummy and about to go to sleep. Here's my current data. First test was with auto attacks only, second test was auto attacks + heavy shot.
541 Crit Hit Rate :: 7514 hits; 1466 crits; 95% confidence; 18.6-20.4%
547 Crit Hit Rate :: 16802 hits; 3406 crits; 95% confidence; 19.7-20.9%
I would upgrade the relic to +1 , AND get the Elfin Bow, I've never had issues with accuracy on anything yet on BRD, sitting at i71 with 484 accuracy with food. Which from what I read is enough for Coil. Basically, if you're doing an event where you need the accuracy, use Artemis Bow Zenith, if you're doing something that doesn't, use Elfin Bow.
They both have the same base damage and DEX, the only thing you're doing is trading accuracy/skill speed for critical hit.
Yeah that's about what I was going to say... if BRD is your only job then yeah go for it. I'd def put it towards something else if you have another job though, especially if that job is just sitting on NQ Relic or something.
Elfin Bow will be the last weapon I get. I snagged Elder Staff last week for BLM because it's pimp and it saves me 900 myth. Will continue to do the same with other jobs.
Hey, I'm looking for some advice on the upgrade order for my myth spending on BRD.
my (currently ilvl77) gearset is as follows;
Artemis Bow (NQ)
Ballad Crown
Ballad Body
AF2 Gloves
Darklight Belt
AF2 Pants
Darklight Boots
Darklight Choker
Darklight Earring
Darklight Bracelet
Darklight Ring
Vortex Ring of Aiming
I've got capped 615 Myth this week, so I can't buy either the body or the Relic+1 until next week, but I'm unsure if I should get the Ring/Belt first?
I'm just really unsure on what pieces of myth to buy and in what order/priority... Any help would be much appreciated, and apologies if it's been asked before.
Body over +1 for sure, even more so if you're in a position to be getting Elfin or Allagan bow any time soon.
However, given your situation with the CT items thrown in, you may see better stat returns for your investment with the accessories, as you're upgrading those a full 20 levels. I mean, break down your stat gain and your myth spend and it should be pretty obvious what comes out in front.
1dmg, 4dex, 5vit, 4acc, 3lolskill vs 9dex, 11vit, -3acc, 15crit
I'm pretty sure 15crit and 5dex is enough to overcome 1dmg. Not to mention you get more hp.
edit: Blah, that's darklight to bard's.. Having it be vs 4dex, 6vit, -6acc, -15det, 34crit makes it a tougher call. I guess weapon might be a better upgrade. But bard's shirt looks fantastic if you're female.
A DPS increase is a DPS increase, you could say the same thing upgrading a level 70 piece > 90 piece, under most circumstances. Because you have more than 1 job at 50 is a reason to leave 1 job half-assed and go to buy 2-3 pieces of gear for another job so you can leave them both half-assed? Finish one job before you start another. If you we're disputing getting an armor piece for BRD over the +1 Relic for BRD 1st that would be understandable. But not getting it so you can go gear another job? Really?
I have WHM at 45, slowly progressing it up, I have full access to philosophy tomes for it, but I have no plans to use any mythology on it until i am finished with BRD. You can call me my brand new WHM gimp if you want. I really don't care. But at least I know when I start using mythology for it I didn't sacrifice any potential on BRD just to get 2-3 pieces.
Patience is a virtue.
