Oh, switch over to Titan's Bow until you +1 your bow. It's betters, especially for titan. I personally prefer to use gryphonskin bracelets over allagan myself. -4dex, +12acc, +12crit, +10vit when perfectly melded. Ultima's neck took a back seat for the allagan neck that I got this week.

With bracelets and titan's bow I was able to survive getting hit by 2 plumes. Strangely enough when I upgraded to my +1 bow (+5vit, -16 earth resist) I died to 2x plumes. After that happened I switched back to my gryphonskin ring for subsequent runs. Next time I do titan I'll try to remember to do some science.

Also also, I can now confirm primals take like no acc. 107/107 hits connected at 361 acc on ifrit extreme.

I know this will sound terrible, but I am still trying to be a cheapass when it comes to buying crafting stuff. (and I don't have the melds to hq gryphonskin on leather). Personal housing is going to come sooner or later!

If I ever randomly do a titan and get the bow maybe I'd switch but it doesn't seem like that's worth the stress of farming.

No worries there. I currently don't have a piece of eq or two that I want because of saving up for housing. (4m saved.. hopefully get a medium in 2 months ; ;)

Elfin bow might be better then Allagan bow for non coil content. Since accuracy doesn't really matter you can use this: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LHEU According to valk's calc using Allagan would give us/me a 0.31 WS Absolute Increase; 0.17% WS Increase; 1.26 DPS Absolute Increase; 1.70% WS DPS Increase. But you have 37 less crit. And I personally find the "dps" increase to be a worthless measurement since I find skill speed increases mostly worthless (a difference of 39 in this case). After all, any time you aren't riding your gcd perfect you're wasting potential skill speed-- and this does happen enough for it to matter.

Wow, that's just stupid... Getting Elfin next week, though seeing that makes me regret not getting it this week now.. (got Hellish)

I was running at 450acc but i was missing on ifritx.

Were you parsing or eyeballing, because 107/107 hits at 361 accuracy means it's statistically incredibly unlikely that you actually missed.

Are hits that land while he's invulnerable counted as misses? Could be the issue.

I can corroborate that whatever the minimum accuracy is for extremes, it's really, really, really low. I run with 404 on BRD and never truly miss across dozens of kills. Parsers pick up invulnerability as misses as mentioned above.

You have Hero Ring selected there and if you are doing Coil on BRD, you should get Body cause you are way low on acc, if not then probably belt since you don't need acc for anything else.

My bad it seemed that invulnerability counts as miss in the parse.

I remember my parses listing 100% accuracy for everyone during ifrit clears, so I'm wondering why mine didn't list any misses. I can't actually remember hitting him when he was invulnerable, wonder if everybody also didn't hit him.

Slightly confused about the required Acc for coil. People in game have been telling me that it got lowered with the update (or equalised for all of coil) but from what I'm reading here it sounds like it's about the same? What's a sane value? 480? Does this apply to all turns?

Either way I need to start working on a DPS set. Rocking 477 Acc without food is clearly overkill for the majority of content. It's just, apart from Allagan Body and Hands (double lol) I don't have a great deal of options apart from the below. EX clears might be a week or two away, and i'm just starting to mess with T5.

Bard Body
Hero Belt
Bard Legs
CT Boots (waiting on Allagan, do they even exist?)

Ultima neck
Allagan Ears (Hero's is on the list for an upgrade)

473acc seems to be the physical cap for all turns. Unless my math seems to be wrong, that gear adds up to 465acc after hq deviled eggs. Definitely pick up those hero's earrings when you can.

Other upgrades/sidegrades to look out for include: +1, Bard's Head, Allagan(Bard's) Feet, Allagan Neck, Garuda's Ring, Gryphonskin neck/wrist/ring, ifrit wrist.

what parse are you using? i'm using logrep2 here

I switched over to ffxivapp quite some time ago since it breaks down damage nicely. Total uses, normal hits, critical hits, misses, low, high, crit low, crit high, etc. Can even separate everything into the different skills used.

Nah it's 477 (http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/LI0I), had to double check coz I'm at work but it's correct. Zenith Bow not NQ relic. Not sure where you've misplaced the other acc.

Cool, I should really save some myth for the head and ears then, but to be fair they should be dumped into my war in the short term. I have a gryph ring but shunted it for Ultima, apprehensive to drop the 2 Dex to be perfectly honest. I have plenty of HP for T5.

Pretty funny being so concerned with accuracy gearing up, now i want less of it!

P.S. That gear calculator is neat, kind of answered my own question by plugging in my gear set ; )
