    Spoiler: show
Artemis / Titans (Generally use Titans)
    Allagan Head
    Allagan Body
    Allagan Hands
    Ballad Sash
    Ballad Legs
    Bard's Sandals
    DL Neck
    Hero's Earring of Aiming
    DL Wrists
    HQ Gryph Ring
    DL Ring

That puts me at the mid 460's on Acc. My skill speed is actually higher than my crit rate too >_>

Elfin Bow is a possibility so I've been reluctant to do Artemis +1 (although again this tanks my acc). Accessory wise a lot of them seem kinda meh so I've been reluctant to grab them too. I guess ring isn't terrible since you need 2 rings.

My thinking was legs next but that drops me 21 Acc (I don't use BRD for coil but still like the option of it being there). Or I guess I could do belt?

Like I know what I should be aiming for overall but it just seems like I have to pick up some bad myth choices before I can do the good ones...

    Any suggestions?
Personally, I'd flip flop between dropping accuracy and picking it back up, or vice versa if you get the Elfin bow. I'd probably do belt (-10 acc), hands (+15 acc), legs(-21 acc), body (+24 acc). Sprinkle the ring upgrade in there wherever you like since there's no accuracy change (assuming you're replacing the DL -- if you get the Garuda EX ring first, then you'd be losing 12 acc). Buy head last, of course, if you even blow myth on it at all, since the difference is so minimal.

Is there a reason why you already have the Bard Shoes? Those are one of the very last things I would ever spend my myth on for bard, since they're just straight-up worse than Allagan.

I have the feet because I was using DL prior to that and the chances of me getting Allagan Feet anytime soon are very slim. It was the also by far the largest upgrade I could make. 6 DEX, 6 VIT was a sizeable upgrade for 495 myth. Next largest upgrade I could have made was legs which are 4 DEX, 6 VIT but for 825 Myth.

Also seems I remembered my gear wrong. I don't use DL neck, I use melded HQ Imp Op Choker.

EDIT: This is what it looks like if people find a visual easier (No food / party)

Your CRT rating (440) seems very low for an i79 BRD.

It's because most of my 80/90 pieces don't have Crit on. Gloves/Waist/Legs don't have any Crit on.

Like I said, all of it has just kinda fallen to me, I haven't actively been gearing the job until last week. 90 > 90 upgrades like body/legs/hands would pick me up crit but would it have outweighed picking up 6 DEX on my feet? Like last week I did feet which got me 6 DEX, 6 VIT, 4 Crit which seemed like a far larger upgrade than the 21 crit I'd have gotten from Hands.

It's kind of a shame that I've only gotten to go against CT BRD's for the most part. I haven't been able to go against a good BRD to see just how badly the low crit cripples my DPS. I have noticed that my skill speed is high enough that it causes TP issues >_> (I didn't have the same TP issues before I got it all)

Well, going from Ballad legs to Myth legs would have been 34 crit upgrade, same VIT+6, and DEX+4 instead of DEX+6. More to the point, though, you wouldn't have been spending myth on a piece of gear that needs to be replaced anyway.

If you were already i90 in legs/belt/ring then I could possibly see going with the myth feet while you wait on Turn 4. But until then, you should have went with something else.

It's not the same comparison though is it? It's 825 Myth to do legs, 495 to do Feet. So really it was more like Feet + Earring (which is what I did for 870 Myth) or Legs (825 Myth). So what I got was 10 DEX, 6 VIT, 8 Crit instead of 4 DEX, 6 VIT, 34 Crit.

And like I said, there is a very slim chance of me getting the feet from Turn 4 anytime soon. There's 3 people ahead of me and we have yet to ever see them drop (I'm more likely to get Allagan Bow before the boots). The only difference between the two is trading skill speed for determination anyway. It's not like it's a massive difference between the two.

EDIT: I also can't really change what I have already upgraded. Looking for advice on what to upgrade next, not what to retrospectively upgrade.

Jem if I were you I'd go ring > belt > pants > neck. Farm for vortex n ultima choker n you should be good, you'll eventually wanna upgrade head n body but 90>90 would come last. Should be able to get alla wrists pretty easy I gotta imagine.

I would not upgrade to Myth neck at all and Allagan wrists suck as well.

Ring> Legs> Hands> Belt> Body> Hat. Farm for Inferno and Vortex accessories. At that point, if you haven't gotten the last few Allagan pieces, you can upgrade via Myth if you want to waste it on replaceable stuff. If you ever plan on doing Coil, maybe get the Myth Wrists.

I don't like to waste Myth personally and haven't yet. I'm rocking a HQ Gryph neck because I can wait for Allagan to drop and finish my i90, while gearing my other 4 jobs.

I use allagan wrist outside of coil and myth inside of coil. haven't even done ifrit ex but will use those over allagan.

I use ultima neck as it seems best to me.

I don't understand how to read some of this shit (wtf is BossTotal?), but I do know what the miss percentage field is (if you can't see the image, it says a miss rate of ~1%). That seems low enough that I'm not hugely concerned about accuracy. I will certainly shoot for higher than 444, but I'm not going to stress about hitting 470+ anymore.
So I did some turn 5 practice today. I went at it with 428 accuracy and with a sample size of 215 I missed 9 of those attacks (95% confidence: 93.1 - 98.5% acc). Sample size is small because after seeing 9/215 attacks miss I couldn't justify having my accuracy that low. I subsequently switched to 474 accuracy and parsed 100% accuracy with 1408 attacks total. Of those 1408 attacks, 148 of them were against the snakes: 116 on Asclepius and 32 on Hygieia.

Next practice run I'll be going with 464 accuracy. I'm predicting my hit rate will be 99, possibly 98, percent. My group made some progress on divebombs today so I should start getting more data for the snakes. (Although the target acc for testing if snakes are different from twin is 472-475 accuracy.)

What's with shitheads parsing T4 incorrectly? Second time it's happened in the last few weeks -- always the BLM doing the parsing. Ran it with another BRD (zenith was his second purchase -- full DL/CT gear otherwise). I asked for her to pop paeon in P1, ignored it and didn't sign shit while I had requiem up. Wound up popping paeon myself. Couldn't even burn down the OT's soldier and knight before dread (lol) and got told to "pick up my game." Three more wipes and failing to get past p2 and I just dropped (she never popped paeon in p1 or any other song for that matter).

I personally think using paeon in phase 1 is a silly thing to do. Also a thing to note for the phase 2->3 transition: Offtank's mobs don't need to be dead immediately. Any damage done before the spiders get eaten is going to be healed after all.

Paeon depends on the set-up imo. We have WAR+MNK who run low on TP quickly, so Paeon+Foe's for P1/4(2BRD), Foe's everywhere else we can.

We run with a monk and warrior as well, but only one bard. But yes reconsidering: If you have two bards I guess paeon on the second bard does make sense.

I've cleared it three times as the sole BRD so I wasn't really sure what was ideal (had a DRG and WAR in the party, too).

Yea, got that. But *both* of his mobs were alive when the dread dropped, with one being at full health.

Makes me wonder what the problem was. Whether it was a bad dd, a bad gameplan, or a combination of both.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Friend of mine also is trying to test it. I have a question for the two of you, are you using RoD at all during these tests?

I think he was at 460~ acc, and he said he was at 100% until snakes (forget the % on snakes), but that if he RoD'd the snakes he was at 100% for them too.

I think he only got two attempts though for the RoD snakes so obviously small sample size is obvious.

I don't use rain of death unless it's free, so nope never. I have a recorded miss pre-snakes at 471 accuracy mentioned earlier in the thread iirc.

Sorry to jump in this acc discussion.
While you are testing the acc, what is your determination?
I was wondering DET is actually a factor that you can lower your Acc. Since the description of DET is overall performance.

The description of DET specifies damage dealt and HP healed, there's no reason to believe it would effect accuracy.
