Unless you can tell us WHEN he missed, we will assume any possibility (and Raff rotates semi-often, even for a brief moment while applying honey).

Apparently Judai did not watch enough of this as a kid

That's a neat chart, Seravi! Pretty sure this dragoon who missed at 486 ACC fell under one of the categories above (attacked Raf while she was spinning, frontal attack on bee/slug, etc). I can confirm that there is definitely lower ACC requirements for T6/7 compared to T8/9 since I progressed on those as a BLM where we don't really give a shit about what direction the mob is facing. I'm not surprised that the same is true for melee.
However, I'm also fairly certain the ACC cap for BLM on T8 and T9 is 469 and not 470. I say this because I gave Puro most of his data on T8/T9 before he was able to attempt either and one of my misses was a result of not having my ACC food on at the time (progression). He just assumed it was 470 and did not test further.
It's old and just something I found on reddit a month ago or so. Probably not perfectly accurate. I have missed with 513 as tank in turns where I "need" 515 so I generally just assume it to be mostly accurate.
Anyone taken a hard look at the merits of using (some kind of) Ethers to extend duration of Foes (or get full duration song up sooner, etc) vs using a DEX pot? Number of casters in the party probably has to be taken into account.
Seems like the best you'd be able to do mid-duration is HQ Mega Ether (3m36s, +340mp, +2-3 ticks of Paeon/Req, +4-5 ticks of Ballad) or HQ X-Ether (4m30s, around +500 doesn't cap out item's value, +4-5 ticks P/R, +5-6 ticks Ballad).
i90 accessories melded with vit and piety. gogogogo
Spoiler: show
I got a question. I just got a judgment ring if aiming from ramuh and I recall some kind of calculation that the i90 crafted ring with the judgment ring is better than the i110 ring. Can someone elaborate on that?
http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...t/bard_bis_23/
Still this: http://xivdb.com/?wardrobe/9828/2.2-Bard-BiS
With one exception, the Ramuh ring is better than the Aurarol ring for all fights except T9.
the 17 crit is better than 2 dex and 5 skillspeed: 17 * .315 - 5 * 0.146 - 2 * 1 = 2.625
So you lose 13 accuracy, but w/ the BiS set you're at 518 anyway which is 6 over cap even for t9. At 505 w/ the judgement ring you wont miss in any fight except in t9 when you're tanking the golems or when you're in front of Nael. Not sure exactly how accurate these statements are, but I came across it recently so I thought it was worth posting for discussion.Actually, i90 melded is probably the best if you need any acc at all. It's worth more than the auroral flat out ignoring the acc and it even has more acc.
i90 melded is about 1 dex better than the Auroral Ring and 3 Acc better.
The Judgement ring is about 1.5 dex better than the the i90 melded ring but has 0 Acc.
High Allagan is worth .1 dex more than the Auroral Ring but has 6 more Acc.
So, in my opinion the i90 melded is the best ring if you need any acc at all and Judgement Ring is best if you don't. The Judgement Ring and Auroral Ring worth is even overstated a bit since I don't think the SS is actually worth .146 dex in an actual fight. It is rare in a real fight that you would ever get the benefit from that small amount of SS.
This is the best http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/N8BS
Actually...looking at some of the i90 melded might still be better than this. It would cost a boatload of money to cap those i90 melded though. I will have to enter this all out in excel and let you guys know. Ari's BIS doesn't seem to work if you include crafted gear. Always gives you a set that is not actually BIS.
With the current materia prices, I think you'd be crazy to go the crafted i90 route.
And his 'bad' is auoroal bracer if I need acc and t7 is being evil and refuse to drop aiming hand?
Compared to what? If you need the acc, then there's nothing wrong with that. Amon's probably hit harder, but if you need the accuracy, sure.
Dude says melds #3 and 4 should be Det IV, but he's too cheap to use an Acc IV on meld #2 to cap out and make the 5th slot useful? lolwut
This is my current set, need lava toad leg to hit the acc for T9.
Rosenberg, HA mask, Auroral tarbad, amon hand, auroral belt, amon leg, HA feet, auroral erring, HA neck, Auroral wristm auroral ring and Judgment ring of aiming. ACc without food is 480
If i want to use my HA aiming pants, I need to get auoroal bracer and use auroral choker of aiming as well.
Which option seems better

Make both sets then compare them.
Set1 with lava toad leg

and
Set2 with toad leg

So how are you guys handling the fact that most good ilvl110 gear has practically no accuracy? It seems like something's gotta give and you need some leeway, especially if you refuse to go with the lava toad legs and go for food with more crit.
That being said, is using toad legs the way to go in case you want to keep all of your crit? I would like to see some builds from some of you that have more coil gear, my static is just now pushing T8 and I'm coming back after being gone for months and it seems like no matter what I do I will fall short of the acc cap unless I give up on some big crit pieces that I really would not like to give up on.
Currently have the Rosenbogen, but thinking of putting accuracy on the novus? (again, really not my idea of properly building the weapon, but I'm thinking of what else can be done...)
bis has plenty of acc, w/ just eggs, http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/NNMC
swap in Auroral wrists if using Rosen.
If you have bad luck on drops, you can decide for yourself if you want to waste sol on crappy auroral sks gear but having things like Myth Body, Allagan Legs should keep your accuracy high enough anyways.
