Run aurum vale if you're still in full AF or try wanderers palace to at least gear up better. The weapons alone from wanderers are on par/better than ifrit in most cases and the gear there helps full AF people. Boring? Yes. Do new people to 50 know this? No. But that's SE's fault just like running AK over and over and over for T2 tokens is. AK isn't a hit 50 and charge on in using full AF place. Duno why people always think this.

Wanderer's palace is exactly what you're supposed to be doing to prepare for actual endgame.

The gear is generally better than AF (not by much tho) the weapons are excellent alternatives to wasting time on primals, and you're getting a steady flow of tokens for DL.

It's practically tailor made for people who just hit 50 and need to gear up for the more difficult content.

Also, shout spam filter is another thing to add to the list of simple shit that was in 1.0 but left out.

I think people queue early for AK for 2 reasons:

1: You gain access to it as soon as you beat the piss easy Praetorium dungeon (which has fewer mechanics than even Meridianum, but anyway). As you said, there's nothing really implying that it would be an order of magnitude harder than the last one and SE is at fault for this.

2:There's no iLvl gating in this game. You straight can't do WoW heroics without a certain iLvl, the client won't let you. It may not be super high and you still get morons, but it sets the appropriate bare minimum. That way, the devs don't really have to explain why this dungeon is harder. It just is, so you have to gear up for it.

Bonus Reason: The first boss is actually ridiculously easy if you know his deal. Even within the dungeon, there's a weird curve that's totally invisible to anyone who hasn't thrown themselves at it a few times.

Ugh. Doing that final dungeon, nice group of people but our bard was in the cutscene from the beginning. Was great until the moment my internet died during the second boss and I was thrown out instantly.

They should totally let you call your choco while running and he runs up beside you and you grab the reins and jump on old western style. That would be so damn sweet lol! Do it SE!

I'm pretty sure the actual reason this isn't a thing (from way before Beta I believe) is "limitations."

Or they could just remove the arbitrary "casting" bit from calling your choco (again, 1.0 stuff here).

Add to that another complaint: the stupid, arbitrary, and often times absurdly long "interaction/waiting/inspecting" sequences that come with clicking quest stuff in general.

It serves no purpose, none at all, for my character to have to actually stand there and "wait" for a quest instance to start.

The only time and place I could see them being justified is in dungeons where you're not supposed to be able to flip switches and the like while under attack.

Just make a new tab and shut everything but party and tells and whatever LS off.. obv people are doing this but jebus besides banning them, at least code in a spam filter so they can't talk for like 30 seconds after so many spam... I already have 80+ on blist and that's just tedious time wasting bullshit.

You would think after ff11 and you know every other mmo on the planet all this shit would have been in place from the start.
