This actually legitimately amazes me too. I can't count the number of times I or an FC member told someone to use the limit break or whathaveyou, only to have them derp and continue what they're doing. And their excuse is they're too focused on the battle.

Are people playing on 70 inch TVs or something?

Same. Honestly the only guildhest I had issues with was the one where you capture the turtle. Not because people killed it (never was an issue), but because like 3 groups clicked the trap thing, saw nothing happen, and went "fuck this, I'm out, stupid broken game." Which is still a reading comp failure, granted.

Aside: Casters who are not fucking riding the GCD. They cast like they have perpetual Slow on or some shit. This is especially annoying when it's a WHM.

Oh, special mention to:

-BRDs/SMNs/SCHs that place Flaming Arrow/Shadow Flare stupidly (obscuring AoE warnings for tanks, instead of just touching the boss with the edge of the target circle)

-SMNs that completely forget to use Shadow Flare.

-SMNs that use Ruin/II instead of reapplying down DoTs.

-SMNs that think their Shadow Flare doesn't stack with mine.

-SMNs that bring out Titan for any reason in a lv50 fight. Bonus points if it (or Ifrit) is on Sic and messing with Stun resist on fights that need that.

I've had a lot of really bad SMNs ok.

First group I had on that one straight up left because one of the DDs kept killing 'em. Second one was looking that way too until something miraculous happened and they all died.

In Aurum Vale.

Be in second Morbol seedling room (2x Morbols).

Single-target long range attack the seedlings. Me (Drg), and warrior happily tag-teaming them down. All of a sudden - Rain of Death on the Morbol and 5 other seedlings by the Bard. Miraculously survive to I don't know what (sorry that part belongs in the praise thread).

I was in a group last night with the same thing. Guys didn't read the objective and obviously didn't see the pop up on the screen from the recruiter NPC saying they need to die around the same time. Thankfully one of the PUGs got pissed and started to get on people's ass.

I guess I sorta can't blame them. I spam my mouse button every time I have to read through 90% of the filler storyline. Though at the same time still seems dumb not to put effort into a group setting so you don't waste your time as well as teammates because you couldn't take a minute to read a briefing to get an idea on what to expect from the fight.

Speaking of that, anyone know any good sites for guides? Starting to get to that point where PUGs are slipping up.

That one was hilarious for me because someone (prolly me) totally fucked up and killed one way before the others, and I was about to suggest we reset when I hear the limit break meter go SCHWING. A few other people must have noticed and realized the same thing at the same time because log was full of lols after that.

Not sure if I'd ever want to do that one without a summoner or black mage...

I leveled my conjurer like 15 whole levels. I don't remember the cure spell having a 10 second recast. If they aren't casting DPS spells, they are standing there doing fuck-all while I'm blowing HP cooldowns and drinking hi-pots at 15% HP. I truly don't know what they are doing - if it's anything like FFXI if I yell at them I will just get "sorry man falling asleep"

That's exactly what I did. Granted, I had the benefit of FC healer and DPS, but we full-cleared a couple times with no issues, then began speed runs the next day. /shrug

EDIT: Complaints...do they really need all 10 fucking hours for maintenance? I patched up the latest version hours ago. LET ME IN.
Also, half my friends are now old fucking farts with lives/jobs/marriages/etc. I have a four-man group, but will be waiting on their asses for a couple more weeks, so I can run 8-mans with people I trust.

AFK auto-logout timers. I know it's good for the current server congestion but I don't know, the game just feels more immersive if all I do is sit at my computer and my character is right there. Been following my girlfriends example and afking while sitting somewhere (afk'd my lancer out on top of the highest boxes at the top of aleport, lol) and such and I'm liking it. I hope they get rid of this once server issues are fully dealt with.

Give people a pet to manage and they stop using their brain apparently. I see so many SMNs neglecting their pets entirely by either not using abilities or putting them on Sic no matter what.

needless to say my worst duty experiences were with smns in them. Pld and pugilist follow them right up. Every time i see a smn/arcanist in groups i go "fuck - fail time". honestly best runs i have had as a healer consistet of a combination of war blm lancer.

People sleep shit in this game? Seriously, not a single pull in any 4 man (or story 8 man) requires any CC to survive. The only time it is remotely useful is if you somehow get multiple groups or your tank is a moron who can't keep threat on a marked target.

Oh yeah... complaint...

SE gave cut repair costs by 3/5th, but now force us to incur quadruple (probably more) durability loss due to having to actually kill trash in AK/WP. Only time will tell, but I am guessing that this really won't do much for our bottom line. A cheaper cost we have to pay more often does nothing.

They give us 30 minute AFK timers but we still don't have a right click report/blacklist function? come on now...
