apparently square did fuck it up again, found a few more topics of issues both there and on reddit(not only related to today mind you), I don't get how hard they can screw up and blame isps still, I think they just fucked something up that most people's connections are having issues dealing with.Can't be a coincidence that people so far away are all having issues, they should stop being in denial and just admit it and work on it atleast people would rage less(maybe)

Funnily that's a good way to summarize their ticket-bot like answers to me since last year.Do you work for SE? For sleeping dogs it's 9 months i keep reading tickets "yo we don't read yo shit, u dun goofed your win7 pc sucks, our game best huehuhuehue, fuckoff" and now with ffxiv too -_-

There should be no surprises that a JP company can't get programming right for a PC product. I'm trying to imagine what Ifrit would be like in WoW, and I can tell you right now that a red line would be a red line: you wouldn't have to stand 15 feet outside of it to dodge a move, nor would you not have to dodge 3 seconds before it goes off just to actually dodge it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: with SE's latency issues, they need to straight up introduce a dodge button that either side-hops or leaps back to allow for people to avoid things quickly. You can design dodgable mechanics all you want, but it just makes you look silly doing so when you've still got latency issues with your game.

This so much. Or find a way to make this crap client side so the latency wouldn't be much of an issue. If that's even possible.

So I'm at the part of the story where you're in Mor Dhona. I just went through the trouble of collecting and fixing the damn armor. Then I ran up to the imperial guy and saluted without even putting it on (was wearing a bikini top + bard af) and it worked.

Hah, I didn't even think to try. You should go through the whole Castrum part without it on and see if anything happens.

That isn't the part you need the gear for. The gear check part leads straight into the instance and only requires you talking to Cid while wearing it. Also you can take it off as soon as you enter the instance. There is even special dialogue for not wearing it in the base. Other soldiers will remark about how sloppy of a private you are for forgetting your uniform and the commanding officer will berate you for it. Kind of a nice touch.

Yea the only time i actually needed the imperial armor was initiating the next part of the quest chain with cid.

Did this too, and I just shook my head and laughed a little. Fortunately I've only seen this as a blip on the radar and doesn't ruin the story or anything.

Hard Mode. Every group I join just seems to get wrecked right after heart. Last group got pretty close but we just couldn't finish it.
