You do realize that WoW takes there servers down at the same time every week for ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. And they aren't launching a new game.
No one cares about routine maintenance. We expected and were told this shit was fixed. I can only imagine how upset/disappointed some of these first timers are who got coaxed into playing by a friend.
No, they don't take the servers down weekly anymore. It typically just takes a 15 minute restart and that's it. Several-hour maintenance is not part of the routine.
I can totally understand people grip over the recent issues with the game. It's one thing to encounter problems during beta, its a totally different story during EA and launch. People made an investment in the game with certain expectations. When those expectations are not being met, then the consumer has every right to QQ.
One would think SE AND SCEA (Some PS3 owners still are having issues) would have done a better job in anticipating issues like the ones we are encountering. Given the amount of data collected during beta, lessons learned in 1.0, amount of 1.0 players and the numbers behind the sales, "Server Overload" is not a viable excuse. Same way "No active account" is acceptable for NA PS3 owners during EA when it was the SAME EXACT PROBLEM during P4. It's one thing to encounter a new bug or come across an oversight but the problems we are having in my opinion could have been anticipated and rectified before hand or in a more timely manner rather than taking the servers several times on launch date to figure things out.
The JP server list was down for me for the past hour or so, whilst NA/EU was still up.
Spoiler: show
You guys need to settle down and go out side or something.
Don't get me wrong. I'm mad, but I am not that mad. It's just people that are still white knighting and saying "it's ok" is pissing me off.
