somewhat related to the holy thing, did ifrit today, blm/smn (same dif) did a second lb3 towards the end of the fight.
Couldn't see a thing, once I could I had an ifrit getting ready to shoot me in the face.
[edit] but to be fair, I thought it was funny as shit.
Error code 601 and 401.
I think he's telling you that if you aren't churchill, you aint shit
unwritten rule
Minion target filters still don't work.
I can't open any of my mail.
I thought about doing AK tonight but decided not to, LS mate noted when his wait time for dungeon (starting with full PT) passed the 2hr mark.
To be fair, though, when -hasn't- holy been a Brazilian light show aimed at the enemy? Yes, Holy in XI was mundane, but that's just it: holy in XI was mundane.
Go back and look at Holy in previous FF titles. Its the strongest white magic spell for a reason. Shit blows up. I'd be pissed if we got this fancy new graphical powerhouse of a game (by 2010 standards) and I'm seeing a dinky little puff of white globes bounce on the mob's head like XI.
I'm not saying I don't disagree that the colors and lights are crazy sometimes - fuck, I'm a goddamn tank; that shit's in my face 99% more than it is for non-tanks - but hell, we could do like wow and just have every goddamn spell look like firebolt or a channeled beam. Lame as shit looking at a big boss with 20 people throwing dinky blue and red balls at him.
And fuck all of you: flare is just as huge and flashy, and I'll be damned if I let you nerf that badass-looking spell into the ground.
nigga ive been here since 05 gamefaqs OG not even on my level just got whisked away to kill some muslims 05-07
nigga act like 05-07 the only time i slayed muj
Getting really sick of the amount of cutscenes and load screens in this game. The active gameplay itself is excellent, but I'm starting to realize that quite literally everything other than the gameplay itself is actually quite awful; everything from connectivity services to official forums and in-game factors like the UI and chat functionality, just to name one percent of it. They have a lot of work to do, and it doesn't help that play is CONSTANTLY interrupted by often completely meaningless cutscenes, like when you buy a promotion with your GC it has to load up an animation of you doing a fucking fistbump, with a loading screen before and after this pointless 5-second scene. Who ever sat down and decided this would be better than, you know, not doing that? I have to hit escape + skip cutscene literally about a hundred times a day playing this game, and it's not even as if it's a smooth and responsive action, you still have to load the thing and then it takes several seconds before you can get the skip prompt up and then it has to load some more afterwards. This game could be a candidate to best MMORPG since WoW, provided the raid content isn't poor, but all the surrounding infrastructure and frameworks are so absolutely abysmal and amateurish that it frankly drags the experience down a lot. So many irritants and "who the fuck thought this was a good idea?" moments.
I don't see how, the fact that you can't skip half of the CS's is irritating enough. The game is markedly improved from 1.0 in terms of systems, UI, load speeds, etc, but being better than 1.0 doesn't make it good. The fact that 3 weeks into the game (and into the pay period) there is still a 20-40m wait to get into a dungeon (the only dungeon, btw) is ridiculous.
Doing AK in less time than it takes to queue.
That's true. But yeah, the UI issues are there. Load speeds I dunno, I have nothing to complain about with an SSD, so maybe that's why I don't understand the complaint about cutscenes. They load pretty fast, almost seamless (at least the small ones, like getting new skill etc mentioned). But it's FF, it's gonna ooze cutscenes.
SEVEN IFRIT CANES IN A ROW!
FUCK!
EDIT: Right after this post I get my blade. lol.
Get in an ifrit, wipe twice because a healer kept dying. He had told us he was new. Most of us were encouraging and trying to help.
War tank goes, "I'm done."
(2 minute pause)
"I'm waiting for someone else to leave so I don't get the 15 minute debuff."
-.-;
In another run, got a pld who didn't stun once. We kept asking him to and he claimed he knew when to but didn't do it at all. Still managed to kill it with eruptions galore. And go figure, pld sword dropped.
