Well what I meant was the particle effect was covering my whole screen, and I couldn't see the mobs spawning below (that weren't getting hit by it) through it. I already leveled my blm, trying to finish up sch/smn

Being able to see the mob doesn't matter; it's too late if you're looking for a visual cue.

Spam aoe macros win in these situations.

Character Config > Control Settings > Character tab > Battle Effects Settings has options to turn off some effects.

The first boss of the 41 dungeon.
Seriously. Get behind the fucking mob. Is it THAT HARD OF A FUCKING CONCEPT?!
Wipe because no one fucking listens, and the tank takes 358768574689457 damage per hit.
Jesus. Tittyfucking. Christ.
And how do you go into a dungeon with all of your gear at 50% condition or LESS?! BRD had his gear break mid-dungeon because most of them started around the 20% range. Ungh.

I had a healer let me die to trash 5 times during Stone Vigil. Died to the first boss because I got 90k'd right as we pulled it (they seriously made that shit worse with the last maintenance, was having ridiculous r0 issues throughout the dungeon), then again because I was the only one capable of dodging his breath attack. Died to the second boss because the person in charge of the cannons stood in a tornado while trying to activate them. Then wiped once to the final boss because the healer just let me die because he was trying to heal himself because he got hit with a fly-by breath and was para'd.

The chimera from Cutter's Cry is harder than all 3 of those bosses combined and somehow I had less trouble with that than with this dungeon.

I can see the chimera from CC being such a huge block for the idiots out there. me and some ls mates wiped the first time because nobody had really done it before but then we got him the 2nd time.

I'm finding that for attacks that you MUST drop whatever you're doing and move is impossible for people to understand. No, you don't have time to get in that .5 seconds of extra dps or whatever. fucking. move.

the mobs in stone vigil can blow you up so fast. The aevis's are strong as freaking shit. and those damn fucking ice elementals are a bitch. Was constantly spamming cures on tanks. and then had to cure myself because the shitty tanks don't know how to tab targets to keep hate on em all.

Having played GW2, any dodging this game requires is a cakewalk. It's other people that are retarded about it. I was always the last person alive in the CC runs I did and at one point I survived solo for a good 3 mins. This game isn't hard, people are just stupid.

The one thing I did notice about Stone Vigil though was it's the first dungeon (for me at least) that I definitely noticed the difference in not being at the capped level for the instance. DPS and Healer hate was higher than any previous dungeon and I actually had to think about hate management rather than be on auto-pilot. That or these were the first competent dps I've ever had.

CC chimmy is cake with a BRD kiting it in circles while having a 2nd ranged DPS. Found that out on my only CC run, where I accidentally grabbed hate from the tank early in the fight and just kept on shooting at it.

Dodging might not be a cakewalk if you experience lag issues, though. Also, in before excuses, bads, etc.

It starts at Brayflox for the bads. Not understanding how to save goblins and that green dragon pulls out some great tears.

Fortunately though, I've only had a few truly horrible dungeon finder experiences so far.

In additions to chimera, you should also have someone kite the adds in that annoying ant fight (and only focus dps burn on the boss), which makes that fight not stressful at all and a virtual cake walk.

Could possibly be future heavy plate classes, too, though perhaps not minded toward tanking specifically despite the parry stat. Wouldn't worry about it too much, though.

Personally crabby I did 6 AKs yesterday and no BLM gear dropped. Fucking Toxotes for everyone.

I'm going to say gear consolidation for tanks/melee/ddmage. Toss that PLD & WAR AF shit in storage and 1 piece covers your tanking body needs.

Instead of 9 blue pieces, you'll end up with 5 greens: 1 VIT/Parry piece, 1 STR piece, 1 DEX piece, 1 MND piece, and 1 INT piece.
