The main questline in this game is annoying as fuck. The worst part was in Gridania in the early 20's which involved dancing for those stupid ass wood faeries and running back and forth from A > B > C > A > E > F. Just way too many bullshit "quests" from 20-30. I'm currently trying to get on with the Titan fight (lol), but I'm about to give up because they've been alluding to it for, I think, the last five quests. JUST GIVE ME THE FUCKING QUEST.

The pre-Titan filler is by far the worst writing and quest structure in the game. The Coerthas filler was actually interesting and the music in that zone is absolutely wonderful. Pre-Garuda filler is also pretty dumb, and I'm only just starting the post-garuda stuff, so I don't know if it continues to decline or if it picks back up again.

That shit made me laugh. Don't understand why they didn't stick that stuff as side quests and just made the story quests like the class quests instead of filling it with a bunch of irrelevant contrivances. Probably due to how deathly afraid they are of having ANY of the features from 1.0 I guess.

It's absolutely put me off from completing side quests. There's certain zones in the game where, once I enter, it's pretty much just loaded with goddamn exclamation points on the map because I just refuse to do any more of them.

If this is the case, don't ever level a Land 50 before your main (don't know if it happens with Hand)

I finished 50 fisher before my tank was 30, and....the zones are now ridiculous. I constantly run into L45 quests everywhere, and the "recommendations" window is now broken beyond belief.

Cid's amnesia. Why? It was dropped in a matter of minutes and added absolutely nothing to the plot.

The treatment of Gaius' lieutenants is also pretty sloppy. These seemed like interesting characters that could have been developed going on beyond this chapter of the game but instead Galka Shieldarms and Livia Bladehands are killed off unceremoniously as if the plot needed some important people to shove under your kill belt on behalf of the Empire.

It doesn't help both fights are vanilla tank 'n spanks where other, less important to the plot bosses were given more unique battle mechanics. These are the menaces that head up the Empires forces? Shit, the Immortal Flames could have probably handled them np.

Gaius also starved for screentime.

Honestly, when Cid didn't know who I was and stared at me from under that hood, I immediately assumed he was just pretending to not know me as to not blow his cover while he made an effort to lay low for a while (considering what had just happened). I was disappointed when I realized he wasn't kidding. :/

Any fight mechanic that requires you to react before you see it is retarded in my view so I don't blame anyone for sucking at Titan.
Also don't do Titan with DF if you want to win. Where do you think people learn this bullshit before joining more experienced shout groups?

Titan has a set pattern, it's all about remembering what's coming next and moving in a favorable position to dodge it. The biggest challenge is that he changes pattern with every phase.

That's why I stopped at titan(unfinished). There's no way I'll complete the main scenario.

Titan has a set pattern, it's all about remembering what's coming next and moving in a favorable position to dodge it. The biggest challenge is that he changes pattern with every phase.

The problem is that even if you are aware of its patterns you cannot predict exactly where and when they are going to happen. It's made worse with the client-server delays that some people experience (which makes it unsurprising that most of these complaints are coming from EU players). I don't think the time between Titan's abilities stays constant, and even if it did, I don't think we are meant to play chronometer in hand.

I know when plumes come next (that's hardly a challenge), but if I move to the center's designated safe spot before I should I could be causing a plume on top of the other players that are also getting to that same safe spot. If I start running elsewhere beforehand I could be walking right into some other player's plume. If you react quickly as soon as you see them and have no lag you can run out of them fast enough consistently. If you have some degree of lag you might be able to evade some but not all of them, or be unable to evade them at all with the same quick reaction time (this last one was the case for me on plumes until I installed Leatrix).

Using the Leatrix latency patch improved the situation for me, making me able to dodge everything consistently under most circumstances, but still being at a disadvantage with a narrower reaction window (which is more noticeable when approaching NA prime time, when the server's response times increase slightly for everyone and then I start to occasionally get hit again by some of its aoes).

You cannot claim that all players are on a level playing field when they are given vastly different reaction windows. Before using the Leatrix patch I usually had to get away from the AOEs well over a full second before they fired on my screen, otherwise I would get hit. This gives me a narrower reaction window, which aside from being a handicap it's a nuisance rather than a problem as most content gives you ample time to get away, I just had to react quicker. But for Titan (and other foreseeable endgame content if they keep the current trend), it's indeed a problem, even if you're quite aware of its patterns.

What pissed me off though was their "I'm a healer and you're supposed to cater to me otherwise I won't heal you" attitude. Then they called me a dick when I rofl when they died to Garuda because they don't know how to hide behind fucking rocks.

On Saturday someone in my linkshell apparently had a healer who refused to heal people in AK unless loot was distributed as the healer dictated.

You really don't need 3 healers or 5 DDs. The problem is that people enter without proper gear and some are clearly not ready for it (still seeing people without cross class skills in there). On top of that WAR can DD just fine if they don't use Defiance (or use it well).

I hate selling Titan runs and the buyers think we need to LB the heart just because we are 3healers/2tanks.

90k'd twice during Dzemael Darkhold tonight, with sporadic r0/packet loss throughout the dungeon. I ate several AoEs that could have easily been avoided, and while nobody died this is seriously becoming an issue that is progressively getting worse. Fix your shit SE because this is unacceptable and is going to make it impossible for me to be serious about doing endgame as a tank (I /might/ be able to get away with it as a DD with some luck). NA, so there's zero reason this should be happening as frequently as it does.

Running Brayflox while questing around level 35. MRD is awful at dodging Aiatar's breath attack. He got hit by just about every single one, and it is only a straight line field. Tried using Aldoquium to counter some of the damage, but it drained MP too quickly.

TO top it off, in the same run a THM (yes, THM not BLM) decided to only use AoE attacks for the entire run including Aiatar. Took 10-15 minutes to kill Aiatar instead of 5. They actually used Lv2 LB twice in the same fight, no wipe.
