The ability to send tells in a dungeon
More end game content + the relevance of most of it held up by the Relic quest not taking 1.5 hours to complete
Better way to level up than FATEs, GW2's 4 years ago idea abortions
Gear diversity
Pick your own belts
I like how I literally will not be able to get a single AK run in before my WoW raid, even though I have a full group... because lol reserving instance.
Story quests not being bugged for days.
How can this be allowed? Hundreds of people on the servers affected by this cannot progress the game. It's not like you can grind to 50 and do the endgame content without beating the story.
Job balance.
Fully fleshed-out ideas on job identity.
The tools for each job to perform their required tasks so you don't get Pld-onry tanking mindsets and Brd-onry DPS mindsets.
Three weeks into the game and we're already back to arrowburns as a mindset for acceptable mentalities. I guess we'll also be back to the "why balance jobs when you can just switch whenever you want" anti-logic.
And then next we'll see a Bard nerf, then a Black Mage nerf, then a Warrior buff, then a Paladin buff, then new jobs will come out and they'll be shit.
Some things never change I suppose.
Leave Pld alone. Leave Brd alone. Buff the others up. Scale Warrior's HP leeching better. Give them a more useable "oh shit" button. Give Monks a metric ton more health (most in the game, IMO, like Yang in IV), even if its only in an end-game capacity. Give them the tools to stay on a bosses ass and maintain their positioning for all but the strongest of boss attacks.
Buff classes that need work. Don't nerf classes that have an established identity. Yoshi, however, has said nothing about any plans for class balancing. Is this because the average person with access to him is too stupid to ask the questions that need to be asked (much like RMT POS hacking for gathering making player gathering inefficient and unfairly punishing)? Or is this simply because he's not allowing anyone to ask the questions that need to be asked?
Actually they did, they said Warrior was the strongest job in the game and that we didn't know how to play it.
In TGS, a question was asked about Warrior. Reinheart translated it.
y; Earlier today, I was told by a player that Warriors are weaker than Paladins
y; They are harder to play
f; It’s more technical
y; You need to bring in a lot of the the additional (skills?) to get it fully out
y; But really, in development team, warrior are really strong, and it’s more stable
y; So right now it looks like Paladins can hold the enmity and tank, however
y; honestly Warriors are really strong.
y; Players haven’t researched enough so I would like players who are up for a challenge to stand up and play.
y; We the development team really recommend Warriors
I love you Church, but you're good enough sometimes that I just can't tell.
This cannot be true.
Edit: Goddammit.
What's with the princess healers lately? Cycled through four in one AK run earlier. One even left immediately after killing Demon Wall despite us not having a death. By the time his leaving penalty had wore off we'd finished. On the plus healers seem to be as easy to replace as DDs now, probably because of them going from group to group looking for a quick win. (Quick as in skipping half the dungeon in this case)
Final Fantasy XIV, the game where you can level multiple jobs on the same account.
Until you realize that only FATEs are worth doing and the ability to level multiple jobs is severely curtailed by this reality.
It really cockblocks any ability to continue once you exhaust your supply of quests.
Endgame right now mimics a typical post-scenario FF game where you have a few quests to grind, sidequests to complete and hardmode monsters to fight. I'm finding myself thinking that GW2 is overall the better game.
Both are merciless grinds. I'll be less annoyed when PVP is here so I can grind something -other- than trash mobs with no loot.
Edit: maybe its stacking all of our attack buffs on one another and then popping chakra for MAXIMUM HP restoration.
Shit if I know. I love this Job, but christ, let me drain HP if you're going to make the class about it. The best I do is errant crits of inner beast for the odd 700, giving me a decent 2.1k, but Plds can mitigate that much, if not more, easily.
So... war is better. But no one has figured out how yet. And it's harder than pld. Meanwhile, pld has all the mitigation it needs and really isn't hard to play...
That's like me playing drg, realizing it's a lot of work both rotation and position wise then hoping on blm with no position requirements and just faceroll for a little less damage(if geared the same as drg) and minus a single target LB. Mmmm yea I'll be staying with blm and pld. War takes hits like a little bitch even if they do more damage and can hold hate better than a pld.
Asking here because i'm wondering if I screwed myself. I took all of my 1.0 gear with cracked materia on it and sent it to my new character I rolled from the same account then deleted my original 1.0 character. When I go to the calamity salvager NPC to exchange the gear affixed with cracked materia for tokens, he gives me a generic blurb about cracked materia and no options to exchange it. Is it not letting me because I'm not on a 1.0 character only a 1.0 account, or is there a different NPC that does this?
