In fact, I don't even think that's possible for raids. You can't queue for a raid while in a raid, so the most of the friends you can have is 5. And LFR is 25 man...so...gl with that?

And if you wanted more than that...you just fucking run to the instance, which is easy as possible.

i will give FFXIV a rest until server transfers are up are some time has passed by, atm i cant stand any of the community in my world or via DF tbh. There is just bitching and assholes everywhere. Time to go back to monstrosity in FFXI!

From what I've been reading most of these kinda things happen during primal fights (I usually make my own group in shout) and that's the one type of instance you can't replace members in.

I also feel like vote kick is going to hurt some players more than itll help get rid of bastards.
People getting kicked for doing CM first time and wanting to watch their cutscenes etc.
Or even a low level dungeon where someone is new and gets kicked cause people expect perfect party members even though they use DF.

True, with how unpredictable PUGs can be it wouldn't surprise me if some elitist bullshit happens. I remember how bad CoF P1 speed runs were for PUGs before they adjusted completion bonuses in GW2. Unless you were a Warrior/Mesmer in full exotic tier berserker gear, you weren't wanted at all.

So I made a comment on the forums back in early September stating that people come to forums to whine, complain and share stories about morons they come across. The mods decided that this:

You're new to MMO forums.

The first rule of forums: People come here to complain, whine, grumble and share entertaining stories involving asshats and morons.

Was too hot for TV. So they banned me from the forums for a week. Fair enough, SE. The ban expires and now this is the response from SE:

You have been banned for the following reason:
Despite our repeated warnings, you have continued to act in violation of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Forum Guideline. Therefore, we have no choice but to permanently ban you from using the forum.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

lol, repeated warnings? These dumbfucks only banned me once. Now I'm getting an email that action could be taken against my account for 'repeated' breaches of the terms of service. This is the same forum with signatures featuring obscenities, people swearing constantly, threads being made with loud and vocal complaints or 'this game is dead if X,Y,Z doesn't happen'.

Seriously this game is probably going in the bin sooner than I'd hoped.

OF are ridiculous. SE managing anything is stupid. You say something negative about the community or the devs and they ban you. The whole company is a joke. I'm holding out for 2.1 but seriously, I'm not expecting much. I bet you anything that come 2.1 they'll delay half the crap they said they were going to implement because they didn't have enough time.

You can only turn it off in the log, not the on screen message.

What I really liked about ffxi was how diverse the servers were. Depending on what time you logged on it could be NA or JP prime time and for whatever reason there was some other spanish shells or something going on. It was just a nice flavor change from the typical MMOs that are all NA based.

With that said I hate the separation of data centers. On a JP server and there are no NA. No one to talk to and coordinate runs. LS is like 16 members to do stuff with which just isn't enough with more than half still wiping to titan. Plus side is when I do get the handful of people in here to do stuff with the waits for instances are non existent. I'll transfer to a NA server when transfers are up but it sucks to know it's going to feel like I'm playing any other MMO and I'll probably be dealing with hour waits for a spot in an instance.

So I got the game and I am downloading updates, only downloading a speed of .40MB/S, is this normal download time for updates? Cause I'm not having any internet issues and downloaded the game from Amazon in like 2 1/2 minutes, tops. If this thing is gonna take like 3 hours to update I'm gonna be a sad panda I don't get to play tonight.

My laptop was choking pretty bad when i fought Odin. I had to faceroll the keyboard to make sure commands went through and when the fight was finished I had error messages for about 2 minutes straight.

Also disappointed i can't buy shit with just 1 mantle since i don't think i'd ever want to try him again until i get a better rig.

I joined an in-progress AK where I guess one of the DPS bailed after the flayer because an item he wanted didn't drop. Was basically with a fresh monk whom things needed explaining to, but holy fuck did the paladin come off an impatient fuckwit bitching about his gear and how we'd never finish. Well, we did, and throughout the whole endeavor he was bemoaning how he wished for a vote kick as if magically he'd get a better DPS. And while we did wipe to the last boss, it was actually because the WHM didn't tether the ball away from us. So lol that.

Later group wanted to glitch the flayer. I just shook my head because it took longer for people to get on the tree than it would've just taken to kill the fucker as our DPS wasn't bad by any means. Really hope they just patch that ASAP so it doesn't become a crutch tactic.

So I did AF quests in 1.0. Put them in my armoire for whm when I got better gear. Never bothered redoing them until today since you need to finish the whm questline to start relic quest. Quest gives me another pair of whm pants which I A) Aren't allowed to throw away and B) Can't put in armoire since there is already one of them in there. So either they are going to clutter up my inventory forever or the system to get rid of them isn't intuitive. Didn't look anything up. Probably won't until inventory gets filled up.

I've never tried to retainer af. Guess thats an option.
