Is it just me or did the instant queues turn many tanks into jerks? Not like there isn't plenty of pricks playing other classes, though.

Instant queues always turn tanks into jerks. At least it's not like TERA where all the tanks would boot any beserker who showed up because they didnt want to roll against them for loot...

What's worse is just how bad these tanks can be. I did Ifrit last night with a cocky pld tank, more hp then me but couldnt hold threat and died at around 50% so I grabbed aggro and tanked/eruption stunned him to dead. Of course my weapon didn't drop though -_-;

Also to add my own complaint. Me and a few friends were farming Ifrit for my PLD weapon and we ran into Best Group 2014. Other PLD was in lvl 35-40 gear with no AF on, and we had a Lancer...not a dragoon but a lancer..who proceeded to eat EVERY fire plume they could stuff in their face before dying.

AK is a lot more tolerable if you join shout parties. Faster if you're a DD too. Same is true for pretty much all 50 content not just AK.

I haven't really seen any shouts for AK, though usually when I see shouts for any type of dungeon it's EXP only and no newbies.

Funnily enough, I've ran into asshole healers more than asshole tanks. My experience is skewed since I'm a tank myself, but it seems people can't handle taking advice without them throwing a tantrum saying "I KNOW HOW TO PLAY MY JOB, MAN!"

I really can't stand how hard it is to tell if someone's good or not by gear. Like usually, you can (at the very LEAST), get some semblance of an idea if someone at least has enough of a pulse to survive mechanics if they have <x amount of gear> (I know, gear doesn't equal skill etc etc), but it's fucking impossible to know if people are good or not by looking at their armory in this game.

Seeing a tank in full Darklight and with Garuda/Titan sword/shield, and them ending up being utter TRASH is just fucking irritating. Also, there aren't enough hard fights in this game to look at their armory and see "oh, at least they're possibly good enough to get this fight done".

Put together six folks from our LS to get a couple of friends through CM.

One of the DF slots filled was by a WHM. (o.O ) Dude was a real jerk. Was our third run through CM for the 'experienced' folks. Evidently the WHM figured he'd be getting a SR CM, despite it being a story mission, and him using DF.

Anyhow, guy was constantly critiquing folks on their equipment, tactics, et cetera, and I finally lost it on him and told him to shut up and mind his own damn job, because he was a pretty bad WHM.

"I know how to play my job I have 5 pieces of darklight"

Henceforth, he was known as Mr. Darklight by myself. >.> My brother asked me to let him rant and we'd just ignore him through the run, but I don't suffer jerks well...

Turns out Mr. Darklight didn't know that Medica II is inherently weaker than Medica, or that Regen does generate enmity in ARR. When informed of that fact, the guy just laughed and blew my brother (the other WHM) off. Later in the run, he copped to not knowing before that run that Medica II had a lower base potency than Medica, I had a bit of a chuckle at the admission.

I wonder where Mr. Darklight is now!
