So I was out fishing and I saw a ferry skipper at Moraby Drydocks. Not having a mark on the map I didn't expect to go anywhere.

Complaint: didn't know this was a place you could go to yet, seeing as the housing place (Mist?) was closed off.

Oh shit. I saw the option to go there once but didn't take it because I was a lowbie who didn't know what the fuck was what.

They had the option to go there in the final beta phases, but I thought they permanently removed it until 2.1 actually made it functional.

I wish I could say the same about HM Ifrit right now. It's like everyone has been affected by down syndrome. Stunning plumes instead of eruption. Not dodging eruption. Not moving in for the massive plumes attacks after nails. Attacking different nails. Not understanding what counter clockwise means. LBing the wrong nails.

I wish I had a group of competent people to do these fights with. My friends aren't always on when I'm on due to school/work, and I moved to a desolate server away from gilgamesh because they couldn't get on gilgamesh.

I cannot stress this enough: ignore ifrit, his weapons are not worth it.

Get your GC weapon or DL weapon from WP and work on a Garuda weapon (or titan, but gl finding a group willing and able to farm titan).

Not that you're necessarily going to have an easier time with people sucking in Garuda fights, but at least the reward will be worthwhile when you do win.

Keep trying, I've actually had really good luck in DF to be honest. Sooner or later you'll hit a group of 3 or 4 friends helping someone out.

I need the ifrit clear for my relic weapon. I downed him multiple times with DF a few weeks ago when I was still pretty much full AF gear. Then I focused on crafting for a while and apparently tanks became entitled shitheads and the average IQ of everyone else is now the natural log of what it used to be.

It's only been about 6-8 failed attempts since I started trying again, but when I have to wait for over 20-30 minutes just to even get into the battle I just lose all motivation to play the game.

Also, I cringe every time I see a BRD advertise themselves as full darklight. It's like screaming "HEY I GIMPED MY DPS ON PURPOSE" except the masses are too stupid to know better.

It's got a bell, an aetheryte, and a moogle, as well as gives rested status. If only there was a market board here I'd snap homepoint this spot.

It's actually kind of silly to have the aether there since Moraby is literally right next door and the boat to/from Den doesn't even cost anything I think.

I feel like Lamia is a gross purgatory that Whale and I are stuck on as atonement for choosing this game, AND having the gall to try and play with friends/good people.
