Tired of seeing people rage over people who complete Dark Devices early. Boohoo, you don't get your slightly faster than normal experience when it already doesn't take that long to level.
It is fucking annoying when I just want to quick spirit bond some materia, and some guy finishes DD after 3 minutes.
The reason we wanted to be on there was cause BG. I'd rather be on a server that I know has non-tardbabies on it than one riddled with fail that's a total crap shoot (or one that has all the people from FFXI I'm trying to avoid on it... )Originally Posted by Carth

"Yo tank can you use your AoE threat shit? I'm pulling threat every time I heal you"
"OMG FUCKING TOXIC ASSHOLE IT'S MY 15 DOLLARS A MONTH I CAN PLAY HOW I WANT"
God damnit why'd they have to go the generic MMO route completely and have cookie cutter 1 tank 1 healer 2-3 DPS parties for dungeons
I can't even XP in dungeons as my BLM cause of the huge wait and the 1 in 2 chance of getting a completely fucktarded tank.
Trying to do the final SMN quest and have been 90ked four times now.
Just ran a brayflox on my sch and there was a tank just spamming rage of halone non stop. I told him to use fast>savage>halone and he ignored me. Here's the scary thing. Aside from me almost loosing my mind listening to that animation sound over and over and over, he never lost hate. So now my obvious question is: What's the multiplier of halone just by itself? I know it's 15 in the combo. But shit, using this numbs tactics for initial hate and only using 1 gcd to get it might actually be useful in some applications.
The multiplier for RoH doesn't change but the potency does ( from 100 to 260 ). I'm not about to go check the figures but I vaguely remember it being around 800...? points of threat lost by using RoH x3 compared to the normal 1,2,3 combo.
Rage of Halone is a x5 multiplier by itself, with a potency of 100. Comboed into, the potency raises to 260, so essentially a 2.6 multipler.
Fast Blade(150) + Savage Blade(200x3) + Rage of Halone(260x5) = 2050
Rage of Halone(100x5)x3 = 1500
Long story short, Rage of Halone by itself is only good if you need to immediately solidify aggro and you have less than 7.5 seconds to do so. Which should never ever happen in a lowbie dungeon.
Weekends.
My random complaint is Weekends. The entire Market Board just crashes and burns on the weekends due to every mouthbreather and their "whats profit?" Mindset flooding the AH(Fuck it) with items 20% of what they've been worth up until then.
Hipposkins Friday - 100gil/pop
Hipposkins today - 20gil/pop
Red Coral Friday - 1k/pop
Red Coral today - 450-500/pop
Fortunately the market bounces back most of the time, But its rather frustrating lol. Really wish the AH in this game didn't actively display everyones pricing. I mean its a buyers paradise but its sh*t hard to make gil unless you're lucky and someone doesn't undercut you 5 seconds later... That or buy up all the under-priced supply for cheap and resell it... Which I've been guilty of once or twice.
Speed run. You keep using those words. I do not think it means what you think it means.
The few times I queue on healer instead of my tank, I would probably trade the garbage I get for someone who would spam Halone (assuming they were bouncing from mob to mob) than the usual trash:
No one marks anything. I mark 1-2-3
Tank attacks 1. Monk attacks 2. BLM nukes 3. Repeat every pull.
This table has flash at 550.
This is a post arguing with some parts of that table but also has good research about enmity (and everything else tanking).
I've gotten some goodness from those two links.
edit: The main point of contention with the first table is the assumption that Shield Oath is a 2x multiplier. Most people don't buy that based on the fact that Sword Oath is better long-term (just for enmity) than Shield Oath. I think it's more like 1.5x/1.6x.
ya I kinda always take a pause while crafting. I make money selling the relic quest weaps with melds on them during the week. On the weekend, people undercut so much they sell it for less than the cost to buy the two materia...(let alone the cost of the mats for the weapon itself).
woke up today, there was a 30k gap between the normal selling price and those that don't know how to AH
Anybody know what unique animations/stances there are in XIV?
I know that the Roe male 2handed axe stance is different to others
