No, the crafters would LOSE money selling it at that price. Currently, I would lose about 20k if I made/sold a double melded bow on the ah.

Its pretty much this. Prices crash to a point its you can sometimes not even profit off HQ items because the derps are just throwing em up for huge undercuts hoping theirs sells before they're undercut, and of course someone undercuts them and one guy says "fuck it" and undercuts by like 50% and it just continues to crash until the items are unprofitable messes.

Which is really why I hate the "All prices visible" approach. Just really turns the game into a buyers market, crafting is pretty much sh*t tier unless you purchase the items and craft/HQ the I.lv 70 stuff then are lucky enough to sell it... And even those are not exempt from Pants-on-head retarded undercutting.

As a 50 gsm, I usually put 1-2 rings/earrings/accessories on the AH at a time until they sell so as to not flood the market for the other three retards that concurrently sell with me (and the randoms that undercut an 8k ring by 15% of its going price). If I'm undercutting it's usually 1-100g and I check every few hours to adjust.
