My group is to the point of attempting to kill one another with pools. Makes Titan fight so much more fun.
Somewhat related I have become a god damn ninja at putting a plume down in the melee area and repealing shot my ass to safety and laughing straight to the bank as I get bitched out on team speak. Shit is epic.
i dont eat food, suck it
I only eat crafting food. :D
@ people and plumes. The best part is if you do titan on the ps3. Iono if ours is the only one that does this, but more often than not when a boss fight loads, for some reason the ps3 has a hiccup with loading characters. They will stay in a stationary spot, but keep doing their animations. It's kinda funny to see like three people floating in mid air after the edges drop fighting away at nothing. Also funny to see a rock form on "nothing". But ya, sucks 'cause you don't know where people are so you don't plume them (or run over their plume).
^ You're talking about a game that already has dozens, if not hundreds of bads already buying gil to furnish everything from relics to maxed crafts. Why would it not surprise you that these same bads, despite some being in prominent linkshells, are having this kind of trouble?
For every hyur hyur I'm awesome XI hero that bragged about selling their account for a smooth $4k and buying the bitch with the big titties at the club a drink, there was some bad buying that character. This should not be a surprise at all.
Thankfully - mercifully - the content weeds out these idiots, or at least shines a giant spotlight on them. The only thing about that aspect of coil is the crappy latency which gets my people hit by things they shouldn't.
Bads going to be bad regardless though. If they haven't picked up any mechanics from playing XIV then I don't think that will be any different whether they came from WoW or XI or any other game.
I understand your point, XI is vastly different to XIV, but by Coil content if you're still that bad then previous gaming experience is no longer an excuse. By that point they suck because they're morons not because they came from XI. I agree it's not surprising they use that excuse though.
Oh, they're absolutely morons. People keep giving the ones in prominent FCs more and more chances, though.
ten million error 90000 out of no where, wtf is going on
Along with blist they need to add search info the chat log right-click context menu.
I've run out of things to do after Monday.
I like the duty finder because it guarantees you know just who is going to have trouble with a fight. Queue for Titan and you're guaranteed 2 pld cuz lol stun, 2 whm cuz if you're a scholar the last thing you want to do is aoe heal ever again, and 4 ranged dps cuz.
Ifrit, odds of a blm/smn in the pt?
Garuda tends to be a melee hugfest
I'll get the clear again someday.
Also hi day :3
I had more fun soloing shit in ffxi for hours than spamming these cutscene infested dookie finder token grinding shitfests.
Complaints: 214 pages
Praises: 25 pages
Just sayin'
I love FF3, so the Crystal Tower is either going to be a huge nerdgasm or a monumental disappointment for me... SE needs to show their hand soon, cause currency/token grinding has never been fun.
I think it will do well, because it's not as hardcore as Coil, and casual shit pleases the masses.
To be fair, you can say that about life in general.
I saw this posted elsewhere, but I'm not sure of the veracity of it
to be honest given what i have seen in the game its pretty sad that a p2p mmo has this many hacks already and this much indifference from the devs/gms. I've heard its better on the jp servers but that's really no surpriseSo, uh, a couple pages back someone was asking how people were gaining levels in crafting immediately - if there was a bot that was doing it.
It turns out the answer is yes, and some Japanese players have figured out how. Details here:

Apparently by simply sifting through the Lua scripting that FF14 uses, people were able to figure out a JSON query that would retrieve your character's information from the character database. Further, any commands you send to the database are simply... not checked at all, and the database just takes the input commands and MODIFIES YOUR DATA DIRECTLY.
That means it was/is possible to simply tell the server "make me level 50 and give me six billion gil" and the server will... happily do it.
That is some high-quality programming, server input sanitisation and security right there. Good shit. In the year of our Lord 2013 you can simply send a Javascript request to SE's servers and give yourself billions upon billions of gold.
don't think i've seen shit this bad since like, phantasy star online
i mean i know i should know better after playing xi for so long, i was just expecting maybe they'd care at lest a little bit that theres people teleporting around farming for hours straight and multiple people reporting them
