FFXIV Random Complaint Thread: Look forward to it

So they're increasing the amount of exp gained while logging/mining and from fieldcraft leves. I'm kinda like why? It was the only thing in this game that took effort to level and now you're making it easy mode like everything else. It's like they want you to be finished with the game in two months.

The game will randomly eat my CDs.

Some nights are worse than others but this is frequent enough now that's it becoming a problem. I'm not using macros. I will use Inner Release and Berserk together sometimes and it will just make Berserk go on CD but not give me the effect.

And tonight it did the exact same thing with Infuriate when I used it right after Steel Cyclone. Animation went off and everything, but no wrath.

I was pretty happy to hear this, one of my gripes is that we can't do fieldcraft leves while in DF. I find myself having to drop everything and SPAM field leves every few days to bring my botany back to the point where I can use it to farm for Carpentry leves.

At first I thought It was by design as you can supply multiple crafts from one gathering profession, but clearly it's not working as intended.

SE uping miner and botanist xp... What the fuck. It better not be anything substantial unless they want gathering to be the shit profession. A 10-20% increase I can understand to some degree. But 25-50% is gonna be a giant fuck you

Theirs already a few with all lv50 on non legacy servers, so its not all too hard (hopefuly they didn't use cheats).

I've been playing semi casually and getting close myself, although last few days I've been pushing it a bit further to finish up. Going to finish weaver today, and work up fishing and armorer, as I hear the patch will be on monday.

I'm semi hoping botany will be brought near the levels of what I hear fishing can be done in. Dam near everyone bots botany because you basically have to be a masochist, or a ton of leve's to get it to 50.

I think the paint on my mouse is wearing from clicking so much, not even hentai games require this much clicking! Thats saying something.

Not everyone's cut out to be a Provider of the Realm. I kind of appreciate that it and Miner are the two professions that need even a slight bit of actual effort to level.

Granted, I appreciate that the leves are being buffed for them because they are fucking atrocious (and they should have FSH-style leves anyways but w/e).

Well miner for me wasn't too bad, I had some leve's.. exp scrolls .

I have been using my leve's for crafting and ran out of exp scrolls long ago (want to get all my classes done, no time to farm seals!).

So yeah... lv 41->44 nearly having the lv41-50 4000 swings achievement... and that tnl is goin higher... may use the very few leve's I got left to squeak botany to 46 for twinthread, and hope its a decent boost

Think this is a low ping thing. Literally never happened to me (in UK) but friend on east coast has it happen when she hits stuff too quickly. Misses stuns on DRG a lot because of what I assume to be the same thing. She can WS and instantly Leg Sweep and it'll do the animation and damage but 0 stun. Can replicate it like 90% of the time. Even on my end I see it come out, do damage and show up in the battle log. Kind of bonkers how many glaring flaws this game is getting away with.

The whole point of making DoL so grindy I thought was to make it worth it when you hit 50 thus being able to actually fetch something approaching a profit. With everyone capping all skills, the ability to make profits or distinguish yourself from the pack is effectively zero. That's before the bots which have pretty much shit up the markets.

This is what I liked about it the most. You couldn't just easily get it up to 50 in under a week like you can with literally everything else. (Although you probably can.) In XI I took boneworking up to 100, and that made my special. It rewarded me with a niche from which I could make money.

High level gathering was the closest thing I could find to a niche in this game. Heaven forbid a class be hard enough to level that it makes you want to actually use the exp scrolls from the grand companies. Leveling is just waaaaay to easy in this game. If you're going to be doing a decent amount of melds, there's no point in finding a crafter. It'd be cheaper to just level the craft yourself in under a week with minimal effort.

Because it's totally awesome game design to mine double a stack of every item in a tier, still not have enough EXP gained from that to start the next tier, and then to visit the AH and see everything's selling for shit because everyone else had to over-harvest, too.

And crystals. Fuck mining them.
