Obtaining equipment in this game seems very linear. Perhaps when they adjust the level cap this will change. But oddly enough I miss rare drops that don't match with your current gear.

You lose maybe 2 mins doing a speedrun with a SMN as opposed to BLM (this honestly only really matters for WP). Spend more time filling a party than running the dungeon.

This one kills me, you'll see people spending like 10-20 minutes shouting for their super specific requirements for something that would save just a few minutes per run.

I'm sure someone has already complained about this, but 30+ Ifrit kills with no lance to show for it is ridiculous. Primals should drop some form of currency similar to tomes. If you don't get your weapon after so many kills, you can finally buy it.

1.0 had this system but then a drop wasn't 100%. I'd rather deal with this way lmfao. And yes I know you'd want 100% AND the currency, but I'd rather not tempt fate they decide to go back to 1.0 XD

1.0 Garuda had guaranteed tokens (you got more for beating her quickly) + low drop rate on weapons. Honestly, SE got it right with her then screwed with a good thing for ARR.

Yes, I'm interested in the "and" solution. I like that a drop is guaranteed, but after seeing only one lance in 30 runs, I just want to move on.

You can beat titan with a full group using GC50 weapons, so just move on and stop wasting your time.

I will move on, it just sucks to waste that much time with nothing to show. With GC50 and my first piece of DL gear, I'm just breaking 3400 HP in a party. On to bigger and better things I guess.

I would suggest being in at least 4-5 DL pieces before moving onto titan otherwise people will hate you.

Why is leveling WHM so boring? I'm trying to bring it to 34 for Stoneskin on my SCH, but I feel like playing a bot.

I have more fun leveling Miner. At least I get to see a lot of places I normally wouldn't notice (like the castle door in coerthas that is going to get used for an expansion at 90%)

It's pretty ridiculous that someone would even attempt Ifrit 30+ times for any of his weapons.

No offense, but in no way, shape or form is any of his drops worth all that time when it's only marginally better than GC or WP weapons.
Not to mention that doing WP also gets you your DL faster. And even then, there's a good chance you will replace any of them with a Relic not very long after.

I get what you're saying but you know how people get.

I don't even bother anymore and just go on WHM or PLD.
But sometimes you just wanna play SMN, ya know.

I did Titan on WHM with DL accessories, some lvl 49 ring, WP head/hands/legs. AK Body/feet and a Titan staff.
3.2xxk HP With food and was never in any real danger of getting killed apart from the one time I ate a bomb cause I was derping.
Other than that, it was fine.

Same as complaint about SMN and speedruns in this same post, most the time it's just people only wanting the absolute best or it's just not worth it.

Your tanking was fine. We had more problems with the DD's not knowing what "saccing" means. Or, "Kill first two sets".

Considering the number of mobs in each pull (first is 7, 2nd is 9, last is 10) the limit on Bane is actually kind of relevant.

I've done WP SRs with SMN and yea they can work, but considering SMN tends to suffer heavily from BLU syndrome I can see why people would be hesitant.
