Tanks in Coil T2 pulling mini-bosses and ADS with 3-4 stacks still up.
As a WHM that makes me want to punch them through my monitor.

Tried to do some testing on crit rate, but parsers a shit and stopped working 30m into a 90m session. What I wouldn't give for the same type of reliability, data collection, and data formatting that we had with XI parsers.
I actually just finally filtered tells into the Event tab only, and it's no longer visible on either of my main chat windows. Seriously tired of taking time to blist a new RMT every few minutes to keep them from spamming my log. I don't expect random tells too much in 14 anyway so it's not a major inconvenience.
Reading the official forums make me want to stab myself with a fork. Holy shit.
It's like 50% people bitching about things that haven't even happened yet, and 50% of people coming up with the dumbest ideas because apparently we cannot play this game until there are zero rmt in it.
Well, no doubt that taints people over time. I do think there's a certain type with a controlling mindset that gets attracted to tanking in the first place though. Seen too many asshole tanks over the years in other MMO's to think otherwise. Of course this isn't what everyone's like, i'm not meaning to tar the good ones with the same brush.
Anyway, I'm mostly venting. My tolerance for trash talk in FC dunegon runs has pretty much all evaporated now. I pity the fool who does it next, because i'll be cutting them down to size pretty abruptly in the middle of the dungeon.
Tanks, repeat with me... T2, look at your co-tank, see the number, charge up Halone, provoke and Halone. No, you don't provoke then lob. No you don't provoke then flash. God you better not be provoking then doing flash blade. I mean, you'd almost have thought that there's a timer on the debuff telling you when it wears.

Tank: It's my first time tanking, please stay with me.

Pet cooldown visual bug; say I use Eos and pop all of her cooldowns. I switch to Selene. The display SAYS Fey Light and Fey Glow are cooling down (and this I get nothing by clicking them), however if I don't have Selene on Obey she will just use the spell speed one as her default mode does. There's no way to make her do skillspeed one in this situation other than waiting.
Not quite sure how that's a complaint, at least they were honest. In fact, it's probably something the tank would have every right to complain about. Assuming you're in DF, which sounds like it's the case. You've effectively rolled the DF dice, and then pulled the pin because you got snake-eyes on the tank. Lovely. Unless I've got the story ass-about-backwards...
Not sure of which the actual situation was, tank could be actually trying to say it was his/her first time on WP, in that case Taruina would be at fault here. However, it could very well be the case of someone who fate grinded their class to 50, with no party mechanics experience at all before that or knowledge of their ability repertoire. In this second case the one who would be the tank's fault. Personally I'd have the patience of dealing with the first kind but not so much for the second, although so far I have had it for the most part (a different matter is these tanks that are not willing to listen at all because of their diva status).
In my opinion, I find the leveling rate just fine, as it gives (most) players enough time to learn how to use the abilities they progressively acquire. Provided you do some party play on the low level dungeons and not just fate grind your way to 50 spamming a single ability, that is.
Yesterday it actually was my first time leaving DF and getting the 15 min penalty. Tried some DF HM Titan to get acquainted with the fight on my WHM. After the first attempt we realize someone is new to the fight and doesn't quite know how to avoid the bomb patterns. I take the time to explain him the patterns and how to react to them. Mid explanation the tank goes and pulls Titan. Seeing this as the waste it was a BRD and I just stand still and wait for the pt to wipe. After wiping I get to finish my explanation and then the tank suggests building LB. I consider this to be a waste of time, considering that a pt that needs LB will most likely end up getting killed after heart because of lack of DPS even if they manage to dodge stuff. The tank considers me an "ape" for making this suggestion and proceeds to pull. Left right after that, not because of the first timer, but because of the tank and his attitude aggravating me.
Not that it was much of a loss for me. Got into an awesome Titan farming party shortly after on my BRD that was quick at it and had enough dps to go through post heart with 2 dead dps (and the reason they were dead is that the MNKs were trying to do some pretty crazy but consciously risky stuff to keep their combos going). Went on one of the runs as WHM (which I just dinged the day before and basically had no DL pieces, but had a mix of vanya/AK and garuda's weapon) and was actually asked if I wanted to stay WHM on the following runs, which made me end my day in quite a bright mood. Also, almost got to my mytho cap for this week with that.
Wait, this is not my livejournal. :<
Running with another guy in my static as tank with SB gear(accessories) and one guy we pick up goes "x.x 5500+hp only for tanks"(I had 4960 or something). So I pull once and we do fine without hallowed ground and I say "lol what do you need over 5k hp for again?". Sucks the player base is so terribad that whm's need that buffer to heal or tanks don't know how to rotate abilities to reduce damage. Meanwhile I'm like 0/15 on tier IV materia SB'ing. Don't know why I bother!
Next is the FC that wants to charge people 35k/week for stockpiling gil so when housing comes out they can get the best everything. I can't actually see housing providing anything but a distraction for this game. Sure it'll be cool to have a house but I really doubt buying all that furniture and getting a garden to grow some crawler cocoons is really worth the 2.5 mil you're collecting per week until 2.1. Pretty sure you're going to just pocket that money. Regardless, if you're clearing turn 4 with lv 70 gear there's really nothing that housing could offer me that's worth me paying a tax every week.
Then we have the ls/FC that are all about being 'world first' for crystal tower. Let's stop this train right here. Crystal Tower will be a lv 70/80 encounter with 24 people that is DF friendly. BC will still be harder. BC will be the hardest content in game for a long time to come. So your 'world first' is more like 'lolwewanttobecoolandsaywedidsomethingfirsttoo'. But in reality no one cares. It will be easy content and most likely farmable with no lockout. For people farming BC at this point there will be no reason to even run it.
Lastly, BC. Took us two weeks getting a solid static that people would show up for to actually get turn 1-4 on farm mode. So one hour a week now and we're at turn 5. I mean it's cool we progressed this fast and now we actually need our tanks to gear up so we can do turn 5 but it's kind of a let down to know that there will be no content on par with this for a long time to come. So I log in on Monday now, run a few WP's then clear turns 1-4 to cap my myth and spend another night attempting turn 5. Really hope the extreme dungeons are worth doing in 2.1.
I abbreviated the situation.
The other party members (which were his friends) decided to inform me that this was his first time tanking, period. On the first pull, he got 0 hate on the second Tonberry after a few seconds and had no PLD stance up.
I was complaining that duty finder is way too much of a gamble to be worth it, sometimes. It might've been me being too rushed with him, but why are you learning how to tank in a level cap dungeon?
Thats a pretty dickish thing to do on your part. I once experienced the same thing with a tank/healer duo in AK. I didn't leave right away. I only left after we got our face rolled by the first boss 3 times even though me and the other DPS took the time to clearly explain the fight to them. Why not give someone new the benefit of the doubt? I had friends who helped teach me the 50 dungeons. Not everyone has the same benefit.
Edit: Nvm you posted your explanation at the same time as me. Ignore this.
Ouch, I'd at least go into some low dungeon first like Brayflox, Qarn, or Darkhold. I mean, I learned how to tank on my feet in AK but I also had tank friends to ask about little things and I kind of caught on quick that "not holding hate" = "do more shit".
